Among this, the manufacturing industry and consumption structure continued to transform and upgrade, helping to cultivate new quality productive forces.

Electricity consumption by the ** industry grew by 9.77% year on year, driving total electricity consumption up by 0.08 percentage points; the growth rate of electricity consumption by the secondary industry rebounded slightly, growing by 0.41% year on year, 0.13 percentage points higher than in the first quarter, driving total electricity consumption up by 0.31 percentage points; electricity consumption by the tertiary industry continued to maintain rapid growth, rising by 17.41% year on year, driving total electricity consumption up by 2.36 percentage points; electricity consumption for urban and rural residents grew by 9.28% year on year, driving total electricity consumption up by nearly 1 percentage point.

In the first half of the year, among electricity consumption by the secondary industry, electricity consumption by high-tech and equipment manufacturing grew by 13.31% year on year, 12.81 percentage points higher than the growth rate of industrial electricity consumption and 18.01 percentage points higher than the growth rate of electricity consumption in the four key industries of coal, ferrous metals, nonferrous metals and chemicals, driving industrial electricity consumption up by 0.9 percentage points. In the first half of the year, with the increase in production capacity of the Zhongyun Zhigu and Lingqiu Qinhuai data centers in Yanggao, Datong, the province's electricity consumption for internet data services grew by 66.4% year on year, driving total electricity consumption up by 0.56 percentage points and supporting the rapid development of industries such as big data and cloud computing in the province; at the same time, the electric vehicle market ushered in a comprehensive boom. As of the end of June, the province had 6,684 charging stations and 45,600 charging piles, and electricity consumption for the province's charging and battery-swapping service industry grew by 57.4% year on year, driving total electricity consumption up by 0.27 percentage points.

Among them, electricity consumption by the wholesale and retail trade (excluding charging and battery-swapping services) grew by 17.63% year on year, electricity consumption by the accommodation and catering industry grew by 17.57% year on year, and electricity consumption by the leasing and business services industry grew by 13.04% year on year.
