The Liuzhou-Wuzhou Railway (Guigang section) is 72.3 kilometers long, with a total investment of 10.176 billion yuan, of which Guiping City accounts for 35.5 kilometers with a total investment of 4.89 billion yuan. The Zijing Yaoshan Tunnel is a key project of this section.

The Zijing Yaoshan Tunnel is a controlling project for the entire Liuzhou-Wuzhou Railway line. The tunnel has a total length of 8,888 meters, with its entrance located in Dongxiang Town, Wuxuan County, and its inclined shaft and exit located in Zijing Town, Guiping City.

The main construction content of this section comprises the Zijing Yaoshan Tunnel and portions of subgrade at both the entrance and exit ends. The entrance-end subgrade is 47 meters long, and the exit-end subgrade is 65.23 meters long. The tunnel includes one inclined shaft with a length of 824 meters. Construction is organized through three portals and four working faces, and the total contract value of the project is 618 million yuan.

The Zijing Yaoshan Tunnel is a key project of this section. As of the end of June this year, cumulative tunnel excavation has reached 6,883.4 meters, accounting for 77.5%. Currently, shallow-buried construction is underway at the tunnel exit. The project adheres to the principles of advanced pipe forepoling, strict grouting, short excavation, strong support, rapid closure, and frequent measurement to ensure tunnel construction safety, which is generally controllable. The tunnel is expected to achieve breakthrough by the end of this year.

The completion of the Liuzhou-Wuzhou Railway will further improve the local transportation network, promote regional economic development, and provide the general public with more convenient and diverse travel route choices and modes.
