Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology publicly announced the list of recognized provincial-level specialized and characteristic industrial clusters for small and medium-sized enterprises in 2024. The new-type green building materials industrial cluster in Sucheng District was successfully selected, marking a new step forward in the development of the green building materials industry in Sucheng District.
　　Data show that the new-type green building materials industrial cluster in Sucheng District has 49 enterprises, including 7 provincial-level specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, 19 *** high-tech enterprises, and 36 provincial-level innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.
　　On July 17, the author walked into Changjiang Jinggong Steel Structure (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., located in the Suqian Port Industrial Park on the Grand Canal, and saw sparks flying in the workshop as workers busily carried out welding, polishing and other work, with a bustling scene everywhere.
　　"Last year, our company produced 56,000 tons of steel structures and achieved invoiced sales revenue of 500 million yuan," said Chen Jiangdi, general manager of Changjiang Jinggong Steel Structure (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. The company is mainly engaged in the production and sales of building steel structures and wall and roof enclosure system materials.
　　Sucheng District has consistently taken the Suqian Port Industrial Park on the Grand Canal as its carrier and, relying on the port wharf and bonded logistics center, gathered more than 10 enterprises such as Daya Wood Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. and China Railway Assembly Technology (Suqian) Co., Ltd., and introduced major projects worth tens of billions of yuan such as Kaisheng New Materials and Runze New Materials. Its products cover building prefabricated components, steel structure materials, enclosure materials and eco-friendly home furnishings, forming a complete industrial chain from "a grain of sand and a piece of wood" to "prefabricated assembly components, steel structures, high-end flooring and energy-saving doors and windows," and further to "complete home furnishing sets and quality housing."
　　Up to now, Sucheng District has gathered more than 80 green building materials enterprises above designated size, forming a production capacity of 400,000 tons of steel structure components, 3 million meters of concrete pipe piles, 650,000 sets of whole-house custom home furnishings and 3.5 million sets of solid wood doors per year. At the same time, the district is planning and building the Lingang Industrial Park, intensifying the construction of supporting facilities such as logistics and warehousing, and making every effort to build an important carrier for the green building materials industry in East China.
