On July 17, at the sound of the command, the cutterhead of the "Linghang" shield machine began to rotate slowly. The left-line shield tunneling for the Yalujiang North Street Station–Wenchu Road Station section of Shenyang Metro Line 6, Contract Section 2, constructed by the Urban Rail Company of China Railway No. 10 Engineering Group, was successfully launched, marking the project's official entry into the shield tunneling stage.

The left line of the Yalujiang North Street Station–Wenchu Road Station section of Shenyang Metro Line 6 has a total length of 1,090 meters. After launching from Yalujiang North Street Station, the shield will pass alongside multiple buildings and structures and pass beneath an existing 220kV power cable tunnel, φ2000mm and φ1200mm stormwater pipes, a dedicated railway line, and other facilities. The construction risks are relatively high and safety requirements are stringent.

To ensure the smooth launch of the shield and complete the task targets with quality and quantity, the Shenyang Metro Group and the project department of China Railway No. 10 Engineering Group made advance arrangements, conducted comprehensive investigation and analysis of the geological conditions and building/structure data along the section, organized multiple expert review meetings and special meetings, and formulated detailed construction organization plans and emergency response plans. In strict accordance with management requirements, they adhered to the approach of rapid mobilization and swift progress. During the assembly and commissioning of the shield machine, the project team continuously optimized the construction plan and made every effort to accelerate the progress of preparatory work such as assembly and commissioning, ultimately ensuring the smooth launch of the "Linghang" shield machine.
