Bridge erection, asphalt paving, slope and bank protection... the project construction site is bustling with activity. Recently, Anhui provincial enterprises have seized the construction schedule, constantly refreshing the "progress bar" of key projects, jointly sounding the "Summer Prelude" with practical work and commitment, as a batch of major engineering projects reach new milestones.
　　Anhui Transportation Holding Group
　　Multiple projects of Anhui Transportation Holding Group have made new progress. The construction of "county-town connectivity" projects is being accelerated, and the integrated "mine-corridor-park-port" project has launched a "hundred-day sprint." Currently, three "county-town connectivity" sprint projects—the Shouying and Yinglin sections of the Hefei-Zhoukou Expressway and the Guomeng section of the Bozhou-Mengcheng Expressway—are being accelerated. More than 600 workers and over 200 sets of large equipment are deployed in rotation, with construction sites for subgrade earthwork, bridge erection, asphalt paving, and service area construction all striving to complete the sprint tasks. As of the end of June, the Shouying section of the Hefei-Zhoukou Expressway had completed over 80% of its cumulative investment and is expected to be completed before the end of September. The Yinglin section of the Hefei-Zhoukou Expressway and the Guoyang-to-Mengcheng section of the Bozhou-Mengcheng Expressway have both achieved over half of their cumulative investment. Once the three sprint projects are completed, the urban areas of Huoqiu, Linquan, and Guoyang counties will have rapid access to expressways, thereby achieving the goal of all county urban areas in Anhui Province having access to expressways within 15 minutes and fully completing the "county-town connectivity" expressway action task.
　　The integrated "mine-corridor-park-port" project, with a total investment of approximately 11.9 billion yuan, is jointly developed by Anhui Transportation Holding Group and Dongzhi County and is listed as the county's "No. 1 Project." It is the largest single investment project of the Transportation Holding Group other than expressway projects. Centered on the development and utilization of the Kejiacun mine with reserves of 650 million tons, the project will build a public transport corridor with an annual capacity of 80 million tons, a non-metallic materials industrial park with an annual processing capacity of 60 million tons, and a port terminal with an annual throughput of 46 million tons. At present, the project has completed over 70% of its investment and is fully advancing the "decisive hundred-day battle to ensure commissioning" sprint action, ensuring that the mine, corridor, and industrial park sections enter trial operation by the end of September this year and that the port section starts construction smoothly.
　　Huaihe Energy Holding Group
　　The Phase IV 2×1000MW coal-fired power project of Huaihe Energy's Luohe Power Plant is a capacity replacement project. It is planned to build *** large-capacity, high-parameter 1000MW-class ultra-supercritical secondary reheat coal-fired generating units on the site of the retired Phase I units of the Luohe Power Plant and existing idle land, replacing subcritical units that have been in operation for a long time and have high energy consumption and high emissions, thereby achieving clean, low-carbon, efficient, and energy-saving utilization of coal. The project has a dynamic total investment of 7.57 billion yuan, with supporting auxiliary facilities such as desulfurization, denitrification, and dust removal constructed simultaneously, and mature technologies adopted to improve unit operational flexibility. Building the Phase IV capacity replacement project of the Luohe Power Plant can fully leverage the advantages of the Huainan coal-power base, realize the integration of the coal and power industries, facilitate optimal resource allocation, and help Anhui continue to better play its role as an energy base in the East China Power Grid.
　　At present, the Phase IV project of the Luohe Power Plant is accelerating the processing of preliminary elements such as water resource assessment, environmental impact assessment reports, and access system design, and advancing the preparation of various technical specifications, the bidding for the three major host equipment, the bidding for the "seven connections and one leveling," and pre-construction preparations, laying a solid foundation for the project to start construction before the end of the year. Once completed, the project will become a main power plant of the Anhui Power Grid, providing important energy security for the rapid economic development of the Anhui region.
　　Anhui Provincial Investment Group
　　Since the second quarter, Anhui Provincial Investment Group has been racing against time, ensuring safety, and increasing speed in the key railway projects it participates in investing in and constructing. The construction sites present a bustling scene, and the project construction has continuously achieved new breakthroughs.
　　Various key construction operations of the Fuyang-Huainan Railway are proceeding intensively. At present, the main works such as bridges and subgrade are being advanced in an orderly manner on site, and the railway is scheduled to be completed and opened to traffic in June 2026. The Fuyang-Huainan Railway is an important component of the intercity railway network in northern Anhui. It is jointly invested in by Anhui Provincial Investment Group and the people's governments of Fuyang, Bozhou, Suzhou, and Huaibei cities, with a total investment of approximately 22.5 billion yuan, a main line length of approximately 143 kilometers, and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
　　The construction of the Hefei West Railway Station project is being accelerated. At present, the main structure of the west-side station building in the ** phase of Hefei West Railway Station has been completed, and interior and roof decoration works are underway, expected to be completed by the end of July; the main structure of the railway self-operated parking lot has been completed. In the second phase, earthwork excavation and pile foundation construction are underway for the east-side station building, with pile foundation construction planned to be completed by the end of 2024. Hefei West Railway Station is expected to be completed by the end of 2025 and be ready for operation. Hefei West Railway Station is a major station on the Beijing-Hong Kong corridor, a main corridor of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network, and one of the main passenger stations of the Hefei railway hub. It is invested in, constructed, and managed by the He'an High-Speed Railway Company under the Provincial Investment Group.
　　Next, Anhui Provincial Investment Group will continue to closely follow the annual construction targets and tasks, efficiently advance the construction of key projects such as the Fuyang-Huainan, Nanjing-Huai'an, Huai'an-Suzhou-Bengbu, Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei, Hefei-Wuhan, Chaohu-Ma'anshan, and Hefei West Railway Station projects, complete annual construction tasks in an orderly manner, continuously densify the Jianghuai intercity railway network, and serve the overall development of the province.
　　Anhui Provincial Port and Shipping Group
　　The Huaihe River main stream waterway regulation project is a key construction project of the Ministry of Transport's inland waterway transport "14th Five-Year Plan." The Anhui section starts from Sanhejian at the Henan-Anhui provincial boundary in the west and ends at Hongshantou at the Jiangsu-Anhui provincial boundary in the east, with a total length of 363.9 kilometers and a total estimated investment of 1.972 billion yuan. At present, the project has been fully completed. It will build a new development pattern connecting the Jianghuai region, covering northern Anhui, and linking east and west, further enhancing the shipping capacity of the Central Plains region to reach the sea via rivers.
　　The Linhuaigang double-line ship lock project on the Huaihe River waterway is located at the junction of Huoqiu County and Yingshang County in the middle reaches of the Huaihe River main stream. It is arranged parallel to the existing Linhuaigang ship lock, with an axis spacing of 120 m. It is designed as a Class II ship lock, with a design vessel tonnage of 2,000 tons, and the effective dimensions of the lock are 240 m × 23 m × 5.2 m (lock chamber length × lock chamber width × threshold water depth). The project consists of the main ship lock, navigation and mooring structures, approach channels, and a bridge crossing the lock. The project demolishes the Chengxihu ship lock, sets back the Chengxihu flood storage levee, and rebuilds the main dam, with a total estimated investment of 716 million yuan.
　　The project started construction in June 2021. At present, the main works have been completed, and ancillary works and finishing work such as approach channel dredging, slope and bank protection, cofferdam removal, and landscaping are underway. It is expected to be completed and put into trial navigation in August 2024. Once completed and open to navigation, the project will be of great significance for improving the navigation capacity of the Huaihe River waterway, meeting the development demand for larger vessels, and improving the regional comprehensive transportation system.
