On July 12, as the "Zhuimeng" shield machine precisely broke through, the right-line shield tunneling of the Wenfu Road Station–Fumin Street Station section of Shenyang Metro Line 3, constructed by China Railway 15th Bureau Group Co., Ltd., was successfully completed.

The Wenfu Road Station–Fumin Street Station section starts from Wenfu Road Station in the west, runs eastward along Wenhua East Road to Fumin Street Station, and passes beneath multiple Level II and Level III risk sources. The right line of this section is about 617 meters long, with a horizontal curve radius of R=2500 meters. After departing from Wenfu Road Station, the shield machine first climbs at gradients of 2‰ and 6‰ to the highest point, then descends at 8.320‰, and then climbs at 2‰ to be received at Fumin Street Station, forming a "人"-shaped (inverted-V) profile in longitudinal section. One cross passage is provided in the section, reinforced by the freezing method and constructed by the mining method. The line spacing in the section is 12–17 meters, and the structural roof cover depth is 10.36–11.90 meters.

Before the shield machine was launched, Shenyang Metro Group and the project department of China Railway 15th Bureau prepared a special construction plan and emergency response plan, scientifically and reasonably arranged the construction sequence, continuously optimized the shield tunneling parameters, carried out detailed risk assessments for possible problems such as settlement of building foundations, and organized several special seminars, striving to minimize risks.

During shield tunneling, the project department adhered to morning and evening shift handover meetings, coordinated the management of technology, equipment, and materials, and successively overcame multiple technical challenges, including shield launching under shallow cover and long-distance continuous tunneling beneath residential buildings and street-front shops, ensuring that construction safety remained controllable while crossing risk sources.
