Recently, construction began on the Guizhou Tongren Wanshan Wind Power Intelligent Manufacturing and Assembly Industrial Base project, marking the official opening of Tongren City's modern energy "wind power development + industry" initiative.
"The project's landing in Wanshan will help us strengthen our new energy industry chain in Guizhou and the entire Southwest region, further expanding Windey's industrial footprint and market influence," said Wang Jiashi, Executive Director and General Manager of Guizhou Windey Wind Power Co., Ltd., with great confidence. The project is being built in two phases; once fully completed and put into operation, it will achieve an annual production capacity of 3,000 MW of wind power main units and 4,000 MWh of energy storage equipment, along with a shared energy storage power station of 400 MW/800 MWh. It is expected to generate an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan, pay no less than 240 million yuan in annual taxes, create more than 500 jobs, and drive logistics and transportation output value of no less than 350 million yuan per year.
This project is merely a microcosm of Tongren City's all-out efforts to advance major project construction since the beginning of this year.
Since the start of this year, Tongren City has thoroughly implemented the decisions and arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, focused on the main strategy of "Four News" around the main orientation of "Four Modernizations" and the main positioning of "Four Zones and One Highland," established the concept of "projects as king," and gone all out to attract investment, launch projects, and strengthen support, effectively using the great achievements of project construction to build momentum and empower the city's high-quality development.
It is understood that in 2024, the city has planned a total of 352 major projects and key projects, with a total investment of 199.35 billion yuan and an annual investment of 23.85 billion yuan. Among them, 266 are listed as provincial-level major projects and key projects. In the first half of the year, major projects and key projects completed an investment of 12.01 billion yuan.
