According to the website of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), on July 10, 2024, witnessed by the leaders of China and Bangladesh, Zheng Shanjie, Director of the NDRC, and the responsible official of the relevant Bangladeshi department signed four cooperation documents on exchanges and cooperation in the field of economic development policy, developing sustainable infrastructure through public-private partnership (PPP) models, green and low-carbon development cooperation, and digital economy cooperation.

The two sides agreed to carry out exchanges and cooperation in the field of economic development policy and signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Exchanges and Cooperation in the Field of Economic Development Policy, under which they will conduct policy exchanges and experience sharing in such areas as the macroeconomy, industrial development, planning and sustainable development.

The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in infrastructure construction and signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Developing Sustainable Infrastructure through Public-Private Partnership Models, to enhance policy exchanges and capacity building and promote practical cooperation.

The two sides agreed to carry out cooperation in the field of green and low-carbon development and signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Green and Low-Carbon Development Cooperation, to promote cooperation in such areas as addressing climate change, green development, energy conservation and energy efficiency improvement, and the circular economy.

The two sides agreed to carry out cooperation in the field of the digital economy and signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Digital Economy Cooperation, to strengthen cooperation in such areas as digital economy policy coordination, innovation and application of digital technologies, and digital talent cultivation and exchanges.
