At the sites of major key projects, tower cranes stand in clusters, machinery roars, engineering vehicles shuttle back and forth, construction workers labor intensively, and project construction advances steadily.
Doing a good job in high-quality project construction is seizing the lifeline of local economic work. Since the beginning of this year, Huaiyin District has gone all out to advance 196 key projects with a total investment of 315 billion yuan. Investment promotion delegations have traveled to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yangtze River Delta to carry out dual investment promotion and talent attraction, continuously driving the "Huaiyin practice" of Chinese-style modernization to demonstrate new achievements and present a new atmosphere.

　　At the construction site of the Jinan West Railway Station TOD Complex project, which enjoys excellent transportation conditions and covers about 141 mu, machinery roars and voices buzz. Workers are everywhere at each work section, every process is connected in an orderly manner, and all construction tasks are in full swing. It is understood that the south zone of the project is Longfor Tianjie, with a planned total construction area of 220,000 square meters. Once completed, it will become the largest Longfor Tianjie in Shandong, with customized super IP and distinctive genes, positioned as "a joyful entrance reachable in a thought," gathering a one-stop layout of dining, drinking, entertainment, fun, and shopping formats, comprehensively enhancing the public experience and injecting new vitality into the upgrading of Jinan's commercial level.
　　Similarly, at the site of the Wanrong Plaza project, the sounds of knocking, cutting, and welding are incessant. Hundreds of engineering builders are working together, and all work is being advanced in an orderly and vigorous manner. It is understood that the project plans to build three high-rise towers arranged side by side from east to west, among which the main tower on the west side (210 meters high, 43 floors in total) will become the "** tallest" in the West Railway Station area upon completion. At present, Tower 1 is under main structure construction on the 22nd floor, Tower 3 on the 21st floor, and part of Tower 2 is at the plus-or-minus zero level. Upon completion, relying on the convention and exhibition economy, high-speed rail economy, and subway economy, it will build a regional headquarters finance base for the provincial capital and provide surrounding areas with diversified comprehensive services covering finance, commerce, office, and fashionable living.
　　The Phase III plot of the West Railway Station Resettlement Zone II project, also located in the West Railway Station area, has now successfully passed acceptance inspections for civil air defense, planning, quality and safety center, and fire protection, and has officially entered the delivery stage. As a key municipal livelihood project, the main buildings of the project are 5 high-rise apartments, an underground garage (2 basement levels), commercial facilities, and supporting ancillary works, with a total construction area of more than 150,000 square meters. Upon completion, it can provide 2,729 rental housing units, creating a large living community integrating residence, commerce, entertainment, and leisure.
　　Shandong's largest fourth-generation Wanda Plaza project also broke ground on January 7 this year. The total building volume of the entire plot is expected to exceed 1.4 million square meters, among which Phase I of the project is building the country's top-tier "Wanda Mao," with a construction area of 650,000 square meters. Upon completion, the project will become a landmark garden city living room and a trendy destination for fun and lively activities in the strong provincial capital, joining forces with commercial districts such as IKEA, Metro, Yuanda Shopping Plaza, and Intime Department Store to create an urban-level commercial center and strive to build an internationalized commercial district.

This year, Huaiyin launched five batches of project planning and scheming, reserving 30 new quality productive forces projects such as the Inspur Cloud Data Platform project, the Hydrogen Energy Group hydrogen refueling station manufacturing project, and the CNC product capacity enhancement project, with a total investment of 7.754 billion yuan. Key projects are like steaming plants, showing vigorous vitality while basking in the sunlight; construction sites are racing and competing to build; and participating personnel are mustering their energy, anchoring their goals, and pulling the construction "progress bar" to the full with "full-grid" status.

　　Accelerating the formation of new quality productive forces is an inevitable requirement for advancing Chinese-style modernization, and projects are strong support for accelerating the formation of new quality productive forces and enhancing development momentum. Since the beginning of this year, 13 new quality productive forces projects have been signed and settled, including the Anteke Cardiac Electrophysiology Innovative Diagnostic and Therapeutic Device Production Base and the Aopeng Endovascular Interventional Surgical Robot Production Base. At present, Huaiyin District is accelerating the advancement of high-quality industrial carriers such as the Medical Silicon Valley and 54 key projects such as Guang'anmen Hospital Jinan Hospital, driving annual investment of more than 10 billion yuan.

Therefore, Huaiyin has chosen a growth path of using project construction to promote the upgrading of the industrial base, the modernization of the industrial chain, and the clustered development of industries.
　　On February 21, Huaiyin held the launch conference of the "Jinan West Railway Station Hub Economic Business District" and the naming ceremony of "Beijing-Shanghai Series" buildings, naming 5 "Beijing-Shanghai Series" buildings and signing operation projects for 8 key characteristic parks. At present, more than 20 characteristic industrial parks are operating across the district, using the clustering and intensification of industrial enterprises to create a "multiple-unit train" driving high-quality economic development.
　　The Ocean Plaza project, located on the former site of the Jinan Pencil Factory, chose a development path of using urban renewal to help industry rejuvenate. It is understood that Plot A of the Ocean Plaza project has been completed as Ocean Plaza with a construction area of 84,400 square meters and was delivered for use in December 2023. Block A of Ocean Plaza has 22 above-ground floors and has been repurchased by Shandong Power Transmission and Transformation Co., Ltd., mainly for industrial development and business offices such as electric power and new energy development; Block B has 25 above-ground floors and has been fully sold and signed, and has now introduced diversified formats such as hotels, retail, and dining, including Luoyi Hotel and 7-Eleven. 　　From April 1 to 2, the Huaiyin delegation went to Beijing for investment inspection and promotion, and signed a cooperation agreement with the Jinan International Medical Center Management Committee and Universal Medical on the Eye Center project, empowering Huaiyin District to accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces and achieve high-quality development.
