"Before commissioning, everyone must strictly check every process flow and every piece of equipment on site..." On July 8, at the site of the Suide Natural Gas Processing Plant project of the No. 2 Gas Production Plant, a key project of Changqing Oilfield, the deputy project manager led project members in a safety inspection, making a final "sprint" for the upcoming formal gas-inlet commissioning. After the project is commissioned, it is expected to have an annual processing capacity of 1.5 billion cubic meters, enough to meet the gas demand of 8.33 million households for one year.
In 2024, Changqing Oilfield earnestly implemented the various deployments of the Group Company and the Oilfield Company, focusing on surface engineering for production capacity construction, key projects, and maintenance and renovation projects of old oil and gas fields, strengthening project organization, refining project management, and taking multiple measures to ensure compliance, promote development, improve quality, and increase efficiency. A number of key projects have pressed the "fast-forward button" and achieved a batch of new results and new progress, providing strong support for building a world-class large oil and gas field.
Under the scorching summer sun, the construction of key projects in Changqing Oilfield has ushered in a new wave of activity. Up to now, 13 stations including the Ling'er Lian light hydrocarbon plant expansion of the Changqing Crude Oil Stabilization and Associated Gas Comprehensive Utilization (Phase III) Project have entered gas trial operation, and the Lingba Zhuan light hydrocarbon unit has been put into trial production. To ensure the efficient advancement of the project, since the beginning of this year, the Phase III project team has continuously optimized construction organization in accordance with the "owner + supervision + EPC" construction model, greatly shortening the construction cycle, and has now completed 99% of the overall progress. Since construction started in March, the Huanwu Union Station project team has continuously overcome difficulties such as a short construction period and heavy tasks. In accordance with the principles of "system optimization, resource integration, technological progress, and green and low-carbon," it has implemented standardized design, centralized procurement, factory prefabrication, modular construction, intelligent management, and digital delivery for the project. At present, the overall image progress has reached 68%, and it is planned to be completed and put into operation this year. After commissioning, it will undertake the tasks of crude oil and associated gas processing, outward transmission, and oilfield water injection for the Hongde Oilfield.
As a key project of the National Development and Reform Commission and Shaanxi Province, the Yu 37 Gas Storage has a designed storage capacity of 9.72 billion cubic meters and a working gas volume of 2.7 billion cubic meters. Once completed, it will become the natural gas storage with the largest capacity and the strongest peak-shaving capability in central and western China, providing important support for ensuring residential gas supply in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and Shaanxi Province. Since the beginning of spring, the project has been advancing vigorously. Six construction teams have successively entered the project site to carry out pipeline engineering, power line tower foundation construction, and station engineering operations. At the construction site, machinery and equipment operate in an orderly manner every day, roaring without cease. Petroleum workers in red work uniforms shuttle among the sand and gravel, sweating profusely at their posts and working in an orderly manner. At present, the civil construction progress of the core main project, the gathering and injection station, has reached 40%, marking another step closer to project completion.
In 2024, based on the "dual carbon" goals, Changqing Oilfield is vigorously developing its new energy business, planning to implement 41 projects, of which 38 have started and 7 have been completed. It is actively advancing the construction of the clean energy comprehensive utilization project in the Jiyuan Oilfield low-carbon demonstration zone. Up to now, the overall progress has reached 75%, of which the process portion of solar thermal utilization has completed 84%, six stations are under orderly construction for waste heat utilization, and 151 stations have been connected to the grid for photovoltaic power generation.
