On July 5, the new campus of Shihezi People's Hospital, constructed by China Railway 14th Bureau Group, was fully delivered.

The project is a key livelihood project in Shihezi, themed on "Love and Nature" and incorporating cultural elements such as landscapes and military reclamation. The project has a total planned floor area of 176,900 square meters, including 8 individual medical complex buildings and ancillary supporting buildings, aiming to build a large comprehensive Grade-A tertiary hospital with the most complete facilities and functions in the Shihezi reclamation area.

The new campus strengthens intelligent construction, applying cutting-edge technologies such as Internet Plus, VR and AR to realize a new management model combining big data with mobile applications, which has promoted the standardization and normalization of project management. In view of the complex systems of mechanical and electrical installation works, BIM modeling plus integrated pipeline layout technology was adopted to ensure that the installation processes of all disciplines are standardized and aesthetically pleasing.

The application of new materials and new technologies was increased. New material PVC-C fire-fighting branch pipes were used for the first time locally, shortening the construction period by 60%-70% compared with traditional galvanized steel pipes; energy dissipation and seismic reduction technologies such as metal dampers, viscous dampers and seismic bracing were adopted to meet the seismic fortification requirement of magnitude 8.

The project attaches great importance to quality management and scientific and technological innovation, strengthens technological research, and focuses on enhancing the value of achievements in three aspects: innovation, effectiveness and replicability. It has accumulated *** QC achievements, BIM and new utility patents totaling 6 items, and provincial-level QC achievements, BIM and construction methods totaling 14 items, saving millions of yuan for the enterprise and achieving good social benefits.

The delivery and use of the new campus will greatly improve the medical and health care environment for the people of the Shihezi reclamation area and surrounding areas, and better meet the growing demand of the people for medical services.
