Li Xiaopeng said that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China, and over the past 75 years China's transport sector has grown continuously from small to large. Transport has become the pioneer of Chinese-style modernization. This year is also the fifth year since the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued the Outline for Building China's Strength in Transport. Over these five years, we have continued to promote high-quality development of transport.

Over the past five years, infrastructure has been continuously improved. The total mileage of the comprehensive three-dimensional transport network has exceeded 6 million kilometers, and the comprehensive transport network spanning east to west and north to south has become more complete.

Over the past five years, passenger and freight transport have continued to develop. Travel for the people has become more comfortable and convenient, and freight transport has become smoother and more efficient, steadily advancing toward the vision of "smooth travel for people and smooth flow of goods."

Over the past five years, scientific and technological innovation has been continuously strengthened. Construction technology has achieved an overall leap, breakthroughs have been made in equipment development, the pace of smart transport has accelerated, and new technologies, new forms of business, and new models such as autonomous driving have flourished. Transport science and technology innovation has strongly driven industrial upgrading.

Over the past five years, the level of green and low-carbon development has been continuously raised. The transport structure has been further optimized, the level of resource conservation and intensive use has improved markedly, and the green and low-carbon transformation of transport has contributed to building a Beautiful China.

Over the past five years, the reform of the super-ministry system has continued to deepen. The capacity and level of comprehensive transport governance have been continuously improved, and the legal, policy, and standards systems have become more complete.

Over the past five years, international cooperation has been continuously strengthened. Bilateral and multilateral cooperation has continued to deepen, high-quality Belt and Road cooperation has advanced, connectivity has continued to improve, and agreements related to land, sea, air, and postal services have been signed with more than 90 countries and regions, totaling more than 160.
