Electricity demand from enterprises and residents keeps climbing, and thermal coal demand ushers in the first summer peak. The freight department of Guangzhou Railway Group has given full play to the advantages of the transport artery, actively opened up a "green channel" for thermal coal transport, and made every effort to guarantee thermal coal transportation.

　　It is understood that the freight department of Guangzhou Railway Group adheres to the work discipline and work requirements of "guaranteeing thermal coal means guaranteeing people's livelihood," gives full play to its backbone role in coal transportation, actively communicates and coordinates with local governments, coal mines, and power plants, establishes a real-time "production, transport, sales" communication mechanism, compiles thermal coal supply files, and assigns dedicated personnel to monitor "point-to-point" the needs of major enterprises such as Hunan Coal Group and Huaneng Power Plants, and scientifically arranges loading and unloading plans and allocates transport capacity in light of vehicle usage.

　　To further improve transport efficiency and ensure transport safety, the freight department of Guangzhou Railway Group, during peak periods of thermal coal arrival and unloading, opened a "green channel" for thermal coal transport, conducted factual monitoring of each operational link in thermal coal unloading, made good arrangements for loading and unloading machinery and manpower, implemented a policy of giving priority to thermal coal, and adhered to the "five priorities" principle, namely priority in approving cars, priority in allocating empty cars, priority in loading, priority in unloading, and priority in release, thereby improving thermal coal transport efficiency.

　　The Changsha Railway Station Section of Guangzhou Railway Group conducted in-depth visits and surveys of key coal transport stations, established an information communication platform for guaranteeing thermal coal transport, exchanged information with consignors, strengthened emergency response, and organized and improved emergency unloading plans for dedicated lines to ensure smooth unloading organization during peak periods. At the same time, the section also opened a "green channel" for thermal coal transport business, enabling thermal coal transport procedures to be handled on arrival and completed immediately.

　　For power plants with thermal coal inventories of less than 7 days, the Changsha Railway Logistics Center of Guangzhou Railway Group promptly activated the thermal coal transport emergency plan, organized technical teams to enter the plants, and coordinated unloading organization to ensure stable thermal coal volumes for power plants and guarantee a balanced supply.

　　"We send dedicated personnel to be stationed at enterprises to promptly solve practical problems in the thermal coal transport process, achieve safety control throughout the entire process and transport tracking throughout the entire workflow, and do everything possible to guarantee thermal coal production and transport for enterprises," said Li Cong, deputy director of the dispatch duty room of the Changsha Freight Center.

　　It is reported that since June, the freight department in the Hunan region of Guangzhou Railway Group has cumulatively transported 31,739 carloads of thermal coal, totaling 2.142 million tons, effectively guaranteeing the coal turnover of several major power plants within Hunan's jurisdiction and meeting the electricity demand for people's production and daily life.
