Recently, the "golden key" of Guangzhou Metro Line 11, symbolizing the right to dispatch and command, the right of territorial management, and the right of equipment operation, was officially handed over from the construction unit to the operating unit, marking that the line's track area and the first batch of stations have successfully completed the "three rights" handover and are gradually moving to the operation preparation stage, getting ready for opening and operation by the end of the year.

Metro Line 11 is Guangzhou's first loop line, with a total length of about 44.2 kilometers, connecting five districts: Yuexiu, Liwan, Haizhu, Tianhe and Baiyun. The line has 32 stations in total, including 26 interchange stations, 16 of which interchange with existing lines. It is of great significance to the transportation links of the entire city and to improving the public's transportation experience.

Number of hot-slide paths reaches a historic high

Recently, after 42 consecutive hours of testing, the hot-slide test tasks for 28 sections and 54 paths on the main line of Line 11 were successfully completed, setting a new record for hot-slide testing on a new Guangzhou Metro line.

As Guangzhou's first metro loop line, this hot-slide test involved many stations, complex turnout areas, a long line and numerous paths, covering 27 stations, 9 diamond crossings and 28 single turnouts. Considering that the previous organization method would require at least 96 hours, in order to improve the efficiency of hot-slide test organization, the metro builders, after multiple discussions, actively coordinated with the operating department to increase the number of electric train drivers while obtaining the optimal hot-slide paths, and implemented a shift rotation system to ensure that drivers are in good condition and dispatching is safe.

After successively completing a series of preparatory work such as engineering vehicle track pressing and catenary power supply, the line officially began hot-slide testing. After 42 hours of low-speed, medium-speed and design-speed operation tests, the test train showed a good relationship between the catenary and the pantograph, smooth sliding of the electric train throughout the entire process, good current collection, a stable and reliable power supply system, good wheel-rail relationship, and smooth vehicle operation, meeting the operating conditions of electric trains. The hot-slide test was declared a complete success, creating conditions for subsequent commissioning.

Six stations take the lead in completing the "three rights" handover

Narrow construction sites, numerous stations, cross-disciplinary construction and organizational difficulties are common challenges in the construction of Line 11, including the track area. The metro builders achieved trackless construction of the catenary and organically combined 3D scanning technology with BIM technology, effectively improving construction efficiency. The construction unit, China Railway Electrification Engineering Group, invested in a self-developed fourth-generation full-section water flushing vehicle for metro tunnels, providing "bath" services for metro tunnels and also winning time for the smooth completion of the "three rights" handover.

Dachongkou Station

This time, six stations were also handed over simultaneously: Shayong Station, Hedong East Station, Dachongkou Station, Zhongshanba Station, Dajinzhong Road Station and Yuntai Garden Station. In station construction, work procedures were broken down according to the "one station, one manual" approach, giving full play to the advantages of BIM technology in simulated construction, and conducting a comprehensive check of engineering entities, drawings and technical plans in advance to avoid rework and improve engineering efficiency.

Next, the metro builders will continue to advance the electromechanical installation and other electromechanical system construction at each station, complete the "three rights" handover of the remaining stations and other work, and make every effort to ensure the opening and operation of the line.
