On June 30, with the completion of laying the last pair of steel rails on the section from Gongye Daxue Station to Ningguan Station, the western section of Shenyang Metro Line 3 successfully achieved short-rail connectivity on the main line, marking another major milestone following the "tunnel breakthrough." As of now, the main structures of all 14 stations in the western section of Line 3 (from Lida Station to Nanliguan Station) have been fully completed, and both "tunnel breakthrough" and "rail connectivity" have been smoothly achieved. Decoration, ventilation and water supply and power, power supply, and equipment disciplines have all commenced construction, and the project is progressing in an orderly manner.

The track-laying works for the western section of Shenyang Metro Line 3 are undertaken by the Xinyun Company of China Railway No.2 Engineering Group, covering construction tasks for 14 stations and 14 sections, including 51.18 km of track laying, 23 sets of turnouts, and 25.6 km of evacuation platform installation.

During track-laying construction, the Shenyang Metro Group and the project department of China Railway No.2 Engineering Group planned scientifically and strengthened construction organization, entering the site as early as possible when conditions permitted and advancing track-laying efficiently by "seizing every opportunity," thus speeding up construction progress. Since entering the site last year, the project has actively overcome the impacts of low winter temperatures, scattered track-laying locations, and cross-disciplinary construction, completing the milestone target of 10 km of track laying by the end of 2023. After the 2024 Spring Festival, the project department quickly assembled construction forces to fully advance the remaining tasks and maximize the construction "progress bar." Meanwhile, the Shenyang Metro Group actively strengthened communication and coordination with civil construction units and supervision units, held multiple special meetings to promote the implementation of matters such as site handover, and created conditions for track-laying construction amid multi-disciplinary cross-construction, working together to overcome difficulties and smoothly achieving the short-rail connectivity milestone in the western section of Line 3, laying a solid foundation for subsequent works.

Next, the Shenyang Metro Group and the project department of China Railway No.2 Engineering Group will continue to maintain a striving posture, efficiently advance the remaining construction, ensure long-rail connectivity is achieved on schedule, and make every effort to ensure the smooth realization of the trial operation target for the western section of Line 3.
