Recently, the 15th bid section of the Shanghai Municipal Railway Jiamin Line, invested in and constructed under the responsibility of Shanghai Shentie and built by China Railway 11th Bureau Group, achieved important construction progress. As the cutterhead of the "Pioneer No. 1", the first 9-meter-class earth pressure balance shield machine on the entire line, slowly began to rotate, the right-line shield tunneling section from Hongqiao Station to Yingbin Sanlu Station successfully launched, marking that the Jiamin Line has officially entered the shield construction stage.

The shield tunneling section from Hongqiao Station to Yingbin Sanlu Station in the 15th bid section of the Jiamin Line has a double-line length of approximately 338.4 meters, a maximum longitudinal slope of 29.4‰, and a tunnel crown burial depth of 6.33 to 17.45 meters.

The section is constructed using two 9-meter-class earth pressure balance shield machines, both launching from Yingbin Sanlu Station and advancing to the receiving shaft at Hongqiao Station. Among them, the "Pioneer No. 1" shield machine is responsible for advancing the right line of the section, while the other "Pioneer No. 2" shield machine is responsible for advancing the left line; commissioning has now been completed.

To ensure that the shield machines launch on time, safely, and smoothly, under the overall coordination and advance deployment of Shanghai Shentie, the project team strictly implemented the policy of "safety first, prevention foremost, comprehensive management." In accordance with the requirements of Shanghai Shentie's "9+1" safety risk control system and in light of actual site conditions, the team carefully prepared a special shield construction plan and emergency response plan and optimized the construction scheduling arrangements for each key stage of the shield construction process. The team meticulously analyzed and assessed risk points and continuously strengthened management measures for on-site safety and quality, civilized construction, and environmental protection. It organized emergency drills for water and mud inrush during shield launching to minimize construction risks and hidden dangers to the greatest extent, providing strong guarantees for the smooth launch of the first shield machine on the entire line.
