Recently, with the smooth pouring of the final batch of concrete, the main foundation pit of Wind Shaft 2# of Section 10 of the Jiamin Line—invested in and constructed by Shanghai Shentie and undertaken by Shanghai Construction Group—was successfully sealed at the bottom, with a total of approximately 1,800 cubic meters of concrete poured for the base slab.

Section 10 covers the civil engineering works within the scope from Nanxiang Station (exclusive) to Jinyuan Wulu Station (exclusive), including Wind Shaft 2#, the shield-driven running tunnels between stations, and the post-station interfaces and embedded/reserved works.

Wind Shaft 2# is located in the green belt at the southwest corner of the intersection of Longnan Road and Huaxiang Road, arranged in a north-south direction along Huaxiang Road. It is a three-story underground box-frame structure with double columns and three spans. The main foundation pit is 32 meters long and 29 meters wide, with seven levels of supports (four concrete supports and three steel supports), an excavation depth of 28.6 meters, and a base slab thickness of 1.6 meters. It is constructed using the open-cut sequential method.

Under the overall deployment and advance organization of Shanghai Shentie, the project team strictly implemented construction supervision and management as well as safety and quality control requirements, completed each work procedure with high quality in accordance with construction specifications and standards, continuously optimized the construction organization plan, reasonably allocated production resources, and refined and quantified the project schedule. During the base slab sealing pour, to ensure concrete pouring quality, the project team set up temporary sumps inside the foundation pit to collect mud and rainwater; one pump truck was arranged on each of the east and west sides of the foundation pit, and pouring proceeded cyclically in layered and segmented manner, with the thickness of each layer controlled within 500 millimeters.

The Jiamin Line has a total length of 44.04 kilometers, passes through the two administrative districts of Jiading and Minhang, and has 15 stations along the entire line, with a maximum train operating speed of 160 kilometers per hour. According to the plan, it is an important north-south main trunk line in Shanghai's regional railway network, a major line connecting important new towns and transport hubs such as Jiading New Town, Hongqiao Hub, and Minhang, and an important component of the "Yangtze River Delta on Rails." After the project is completed, it will achieve interconnection with the Airport Link Line, greatly ease the pressure of passenger collection and distribution at Hongqiao Hub, and become a new engine driving the economy of western Shanghai.
