On June 28, the "Jianhua Engineering Award" Presentation Ceremony and Industrialized Precast Concrete Technology Exchange Conference was grandly held in Beijing. The theme of the conference was "Precast Concrete Technology Innovation and Application." It was co-hosted by the "Jianhua Engineering Award" Reward Committee and the China Concrete and Cement Products Association, organized by Beijing Jianhua Building Materials Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., and strongly supported by academic societies and associations including the China Civil Engineering Society, the China Railway Society, the China Highway and Transportation Society, the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society, the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, and the China Survey and Design Association. Jianhua Building Materials established the "Jianhua Engineering Award" with its own funds in 2013. This award is not only the first social science and technology award in China's concrete and cement products industry, but also the first in the building materials industry to be **established by an enterprise and recognized by the national science and technology award authorities. More than 700 achievements participated in the application, and nearly 170 achievements won awards. These award-winning achievements have played an important role in promoting industry innovation and development, advancing the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and motivating talent.

Along with the demand for high-quality development, higher requirements have been placed on the innovation and development of concrete materials and engineering technology. The development of concrete materials has entered a low-carbon and green stage. The "Jianhua Engineering Award" has also expanded from its original scope of innovative achievements in precast concrete piles and pile foundation engineering technology to achievements in precast concrete components, marking the innovative development of the "Jianhua Engineering Award" itself.

Tan Qinglian, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Construction; Cai Qinghua, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Railways; Academician Lu Chunfang, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Railways and Chairman of the China Railway Society; Lai Ming, member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), former full-time Vice Chairman of the Jiusan Society, and former Deputy Secretary-General of the CPPCC National Committee; and 30 academicians including Yang Xiumin, Gong Xiaonan, Nie Jianguo, Miao Changwen, Jiang Huancheng, Wang Jingquan, Zhou Xuhong, Xiao Xuwen, Du Yanliang, Hu Chunhong, He Manchao, Chen Zhengqing, Ren Huiqi, Zheng Jianlong, Wang Fuming, Zhang Jianmin, Yue Qingrui, Deng Mingjiang, Xu Jian, Lü Xilin, Ma Jun, Liu Jiaping, Zhang Zongliang, Du Xiuli, Liu Hanlong, Yin Yueping, Xing Feng, Li Xinggang, and Zeng Bin attended the conference.

Also attending the award ceremony were leaders from the Department of Civil, Hydraulic and Architectural Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Water Resources; China State Construction Engineering Corporation; China Communications Construction Company; the China Civil Engineering Society; the China Highway and Transportation Society; the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society; the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering; the China Survey and Design Association; the China Concrete and Cement Products Association; and the China Association of Metros; some members of the Reward Committee; national survey and design masters; and expert reviewers of the "Jianhua Engineering Award." There were also leaders and experts from research institutes and universities in industries such as construction, railway, transportation, water conservancy, and electric power, as well as from enterprises engaged in survey, design, construction, and production. In addition, representatives of the 2022–2024 "Jianhua Engineering Award" winners attended, totaling nearly 500 people.

The conference was chaired by Wang Zhaojia, Vice President of the China Concrete and Cement Products Association.

Academician Yang Xiumin of the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered the first speech. He stated that the development of prefabricated construction technology cannot be separated from scientific and technological innovation in precast concrete technology. The "Jianhua Engineering Award," established by Jianhua Building Materials Group, as a premium social science and technology award, has had a beneficial impact on promoting technological progress in the precast concrete industry, provided a platform for scientific and technological personnel engaged in the concrete and cement products industry to showcase their talents, and played a positive role in promoting the development of prefabricated construction technology.

He stated that China is driving the development of new quality productive forces through high-tech innovation. The "Jianhua Engineering Award" keeps pace with the times and responds to the needs of the era, and will continue to play a positive role in promoting innovative development in the precast concrete industry and engineering technology field. He expressed the hope that through everyone's joint efforts in the future, the award-winning achievements of the "Jianhua Engineering Award" will be vigorously promoted and applied, so that scientific and technological innovation achievements can be transformed into new quality productive forces as quickly and to the greatest extent possible.

He stated that under the guidance of the National Office for Science and Technology Awards, with the support of the academicians and experts of the Reward Committee, and with the care, help, and support of relevant industry societies and associations such as the China Concrete and Cement Products Association and colleagues from all walks of life, the "Jianhua Engineering Award" has gone through 10 years. As an award in the national precast concrete industry, the "Jianhua Engineering Award" has gained increasing industry recognition and influence. These outstanding innovative achievements have contributed to the technological progress and innovative development of the industry, and have injected new vitality into the industry's transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development. He looked forward to more industry colleagues actively applying for the "Jianhua Engineering Award" and dedicating themselves to the innovative practice of precast concrete technology.
