On June 27, after 8 hours of construction, the last double-track simply supported beam in Section 6 of the Ningma Intercity Railway (Nanjing Section) was successfully poured, marking the smooth completion of the Mulong Station–Tongjing Station interval. The project has achieved a new breakthrough, creating conditions for the first track laying along the entire Ningma Intercity Railway (Nanjing Section).

The interval completed this time is the Mulong Station–Tongjing Station interval, with a total length of 4,189.9 meters. Underground pipelines in the interval are complex, and the bridge crosses important traffic intersections and rivers multiple times and passes beneath 110kV and 220kV high-voltage power lines. Faced with multiple difficulties, including high-voltage lines above and pipelines and rivers below, Nanjing Metro has consistently followed the principles of high-standard planning, high-standard construction, and high-efficiency advancement in carrying out special work to overcome difficulties. For construction near high-voltage lines, Nanjing Metro coordinated all participating units and organized experts to conduct multiple demonstrations, adopting a protective construction scheme to complete the bridge work beneath the lines. For construction across intersections and rivers, Nanjing Metro organized special meetings and adopted the cantilever form traveler construction method, a fully enclosed traffic diversion scheme, and innovative formwork sliding technology to fully support construction production.

At the same time, Nanjing Metro required the work section to implement a responsibility guarantee system, with responsibilities assigned to individuals and fully implemented, scientifically optimize construction procedures, arrange technical personnel to supervise the entire process, effectively eliminate all types of safety hazards, fully guarantee construction quality, and lay a solid foundation for the smooth completion of the Mulong Station–Tongjing Station interval of the Ningma Intercity Railway (Nanjing Section).

As the central transportation axis for the integrated development of Nanjing and Ma'anshan, once the Ningma Intercity Railway is completed, it will achieve 30-minute direct access between the central urban areas of Nanjing and Ma'anshan, further shortening the spatial and temporal distance between the two places and the psychological distance between people along the route, making the "same-city effect" more prominent and "same-city life" more convenient.

As of now, 8 stations and elevated sections of the Ningma Intercity Railway (Nanjing Section) have started construction. Among them, all underground stations have completed their retaining structures, and 7 stations have completed their main structures. Seven shield tunnels have been launched; the elevated sections are progressing normally, and the Mulong Station–Tongjing Station elevated section has been completed.
