The Shanghai Rail Transit Line 23 Jiangchuan East Road Station–Zilong Road Station section (downbound left line), advanced by China Communications Construction First Highway Engineering Group Co., Ltd., was successfully holed through a few days ago, marking the first section holed through in the Phase I project of Line 23. The Jiangchuan East Road Station–Zilong Road Station section (downbound left line) began advancement on December 20, 2023, and is the first section tunnel on the entire Shanghai Rail Transit Line 23 to start advancement. With a total length of approximately 854 meters and 686 rings, the tunnel has an overburden depth of 10.7 to 17.08 meters, a minimum curve radius of 450 meters, and a maximum longitudinal slope of 25.6‰. During advancement, this shield-driven section crossed numerous pipelines, revetments, and bridges, posing considerable risks.

To ensure the smooth holing-through of this section, the Fifth Branch Company of Shanghai Shentong Metro Construction Group organized all project participants to plan and coordinate in advance. Before construction, special construction plans were prepared based on actual site conditions, and strict technical and safety briefings were conducted; during construction, the quality of segment assembly was strictly controlled, relevant monitoring data were closely watched at all times, and synchronous grouting and secondary grouting were carried out promptly, ensuring that all indicators remained under control. As the first station within Wujing Town to complete land delivery, Jiangchuan East Road Station has always attracted much attention regarding its advancement progress. This time, with the full collaboration of all participating units and Wujing Town, various adverse factors during advancement were ultimately overcome, successfully achieving the first section holing-through on Rail Transit Line 23.
