On June 27, a press briefing on the opening and operation of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link was held. It was announced at the meeting that the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link will officially open on June 30, with the project opening ceremony held in the morning and trial operation beginning at 3 p.m.

　　The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is a core transportation hub project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, connecting the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary. It has a total length of about 24 kilometers, eight lanes in both directions, and a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. After opening, the drive from Zhongshan to Shenzhen will be shortened from 2 hours to within half an hour.

　　This "super project" integrates "bridges, islands, tunnels, and underwater interchanges" and is one of the cross-sea cluster projects with the highest comprehensive construction difficulty in the world today. It took seven years to complete and set multiple "world records."
