On the afternoon of June 15, with the completion of on-site line impact and load transfer, the Nanjing Wubaifu-Yuemin 110 kV Line Project, constructed by State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd. Nanjing Power Supply Branch and built by China Railway 14th Bureau Group, was successfully put into operation. This project is the first 110 kV line summer peak infrastructure project put into operation in Nanjing's power grid this year.

Builders jointly witness the commissioning

The project is located in Jiangning District, Nanjing. The line starts from Wubaifu Substation, beginning on the west side of the intersection of Zhihui Road and Qidi Street, runs south to north along Qidi Street to Dongqi Road, and then east to west from the intersection of Qidi Street and Dongqi Road to Yuemin Substation, with a total length of 2.4 kilometers. Among this, the section undercrossing Nanwanying Street and Qidi Street is 306 meters long and adopts pipe-jacking construction, while the remaining sections use open-cut pipe-laying methods. The entire line crosses 48 municipal pipelines in total, with dense road traffic and numerous pipe networks, including gas pipelines, rainwater and sewage pipelines, power cable wells, power pull-through pipe channels, and integrated communication wells. There are many property rights units and construction is highly difficult.

Fu Kuanfeng, project manager of the China Railway 14th Bureau, introduced that the project started on December 15, 2023 and must be completed by June 2024. Facing difficulties such as tight schedule, heavy tasks, and a complex surrounding environment, the project team strengthened construction planning, organized management efficiently, identified the distribution of underground pipelines in advance, and simultaneously opened multiple working faces including pipe-jacking tunnels and open-cut tunnels. They successively overcame challenges such as traffic diversion, relocation of complex underground pipelines, cross-construction with other pipelines, and crossing complex underground environments, ensuring the project was built safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

It is understood that the smooth implementation of the Nanjing Wubaifu-Yuemin 110 kV Line Project will provide guarantees for orderly power consumption in Xianlin University Town, Xuzhuang Software Park, Maqun, and Qilinmen areas, and is also of great significance for optimizing the main grid structure, promoting urban regional spatial layout, and enhancing the city's appearance.
