On June 23, reporters learned from Shanghai Customs that in the first five months of this year, the total foreign trade import and export value of the Yangtze River Delta region reached 6.4 trillion yuan, setting a new record in scale, up 6.1% year on year, and accounting for 36.6% of the country's total import and export value.

Among this, imports and exports with countries jointly building the "Belt and Road" amounted to 2.87 trillion yuan, up 8.1% year on year, accounting for 34.5% of the country's total imports and exports with Belt and Road partner countries during the same period; imports and exports with other RCEP member countries reached 1.96 trillion yuan, up 5.5% year on year, accounting for 37.1% of the country's total imports and exports with other RCEP member countries during the same period. Imports and exports of high-tech products totaled 1.56 trillion yuan, up 8.4% year on year, accounting for 35.2% of the country's total imports and exports of such goods.
