Recently, the Lanzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission organized and convened the 2024 citywide major project construction breakthrough and advancement meeting. Relevant municipal departments such as the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, the Municipal Transport Commission, and the Municipal Water Affairs Bureau, as well as all counties/districts and functional zones, attended the meeting.
　　At the meeting, relevant municipal departments, all counties/districts, and all functional zones reported on the progress of major provincial and municipal projects in 2024, and focused their exchanges on the problems and needs existing in project construction and advancement. All parties present put forward work suggestions and handling measures to fully boost major project construction.
　　The meeting proposed that all counties/districts and all departments should firmly establish the concept of "projects as the king", unify thinking, focus and pool strength, always take major projects as the central task of work, grasp the key points and promote work in all areas by drawing upon the experience gained on key points, boost vigor and drive, turn pressure into motivation, keep a close eye on projects, come up with pragmatic measures, and race against time to compare drive, speed, quality, service, and effectiveness.
　　It is necessary to make every effort to promote the resolution of key problems, establish a mechanism for advancing project construction, carry out operations based on project construction goals, work out project implementation plans, and, in accordance with the established "work packages, timetables, and road maps", find ways to clear away the "tigers in the road" and "stumbling blocks" in project advancement. Each responsible department should consolidate the main responsibility for project construction, analyze the actual situation of project construction and the problems faced one by one, and ensure that there are people to take charge, people to push forward, and people to manage all key links such as document submission and approval, fund acquisition, and implementation on the ground, so as to ensure the steady advancement of projects.
　　Departments at all levels should concentrate energy, strength, and resources, highlight key points, and pursue project by project the securing of implementation, commencement, construction, and commissioning, so as to strongly support the simultaneous improvement of the city's economic development in both quantity and quality.
