Recently, two Jintai rotary drilling rigs have been working on construction at the Sifang Factory Station of Qingdao Metro Line 5.

The project is located in the existing open space on the northeast side of the Jiaoji Railway. To the north is Plot 100# of CRRC Smart Port, planned for 14- to 25-story residential buildings with one basement level; to the south is the Jiaoji Railway; and to the north of the entrance/exit is the planned Siji South Road.

Project Overview

The open-cut section of Entrance/Exit A2 at Sifang Factory Station has a total length of approximately 145.2 m, an excavation width of 8 m to 11.4 m, and a pit depth of approximately 23.8 m to 26.35 m.

At this site, 0 to 2 meters is backfill soil, 2 to 7 meters is moderately weathered sandstone, and 13 to 30 meters is slightly weathered sandstone.

The equipment participating in this construction consists of Jintai medium and large rotary drilling rigs, both of which are customized low-profile versions. Although their height has been reduced, their rock-drilling capability has not been compromised at all. With a hole depth of 30 m, a speed of one pile in 9 hours has been recognized by the user. Effortlessly handling heavy tasks with ease, they have once again demonstrated Jintai rotary drilling rigs' rock-drilling capability to the market.
