On June 20, the 2024 Hubei Huahu International Airport Opening and Airport Economy Development Conference was held in Ezhou, Hubei, bringing together more than 100 state-owned and central enterprises, well-known private companies, and foreign-invested enterprises. A total of 191 projects were signed at the conference, with total investment of 365.15 billion yuan, covering categories such as artificial intelligence, high-end manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, cross-border e-commerce, and the low-altitude economy.

　　Ezhou Huahu International Airport is Asia's ** professional cargo airport. The airport opened its first international cargo route on April 1, 2023, and has since opened a total of 19 international cargo routes, building a domestic route network covering the whole country and an international route network reaching Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. It has initially achieved "overnight delivery nationwide, next-day connection to the world," becoming Hubei's "air gateway" for opening up.

　　At the end of April this year, the air port at Ezhou Huahu International Airport achieved official opening. Ezhou is accelerating the development of airport-preference industries. Fortune Global 500 companies such as Apple, Schneider, and XCMG have set up central warehouses for China in Ezhou, and several science and technology industrial parks are under construction.

　　Currently, the Ezhou Yusen DaDao Zhongcai Logistics Hub Center being developed by Yusen Logistics (China) Co., Ltd. at Ezhou Huahu International Airport is under accelerated construction. The center will leverage the advantages of the "air gateway" to become a multimodal transport hub. "As the route network becomes denser, the global influence of Ezhou Huahu International Airport continues to grow, bringing us more convenience in participating in the global freight market. We will also spare no effort in investing to help Ezhou Huahu International Airport become a world-class air cargo hub," said Kaori Nagatani, President of Yusen Logistics (China) Co., Ltd.

　　Ezhou Huahu International Airport also closely connects the core area of "Wuhan-Ezhou-Huangshi-Huanggang," with Ezhou, Huangshi, and Huanggang competing to establish a presence and joining forces to seize the high ground of the airport economy.

　　Jiang Yang, Party Secretary and Chairman of China Energy Engineering Green Building Materials Co., Ltd., introduced that the company will build the Wuxue Green Building Materials Industrial Park in Huanggang, Hubei, to develop a modern agricultural new materials industry. In his view, Hubei has a concentration of talent and a well-developed "rail, water, road, and air" collection and distribution system, and Huanggang is only 30 kilometers from Huahu International Airport, with obvious locational advantages. "As the industry develops, the high-end products we use in the future will be inseparable from air cargo. For enterprises, Ezhou Huahu International Airport brings great convenience to logistics and transportation," Jiang Yang said.
