Recently, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) announced the 2023 annual special assessment results of the "Science and Technology Reform Action" and "Double Hundred Action" for central enterprises. A total of 349 "Science and Technology Reform Enterprises" were included in this assessment, and CRCC Heavy Industry was rated as a "benchmark" Science and Technology Reform Enterprise. Since being selected as a "Science and Technology Reform Enterprise" in 2022, CRCC Heavy Industry has been rated as a benchmark in the special assessment for two consecutive years.

In 2023, CRCC Heavy Industry gave full play to the exemplary and leading role of a "Science and Technology Reform Enterprise" and continued to achieve new and greater breakthroughs in the field of scientific and technological innovation. Its full-face tunnel boring machines retained the title, and its fully computerized three-boom rock drilling jumbo was selected as a national manufacturing single-champion product; its super-large-diameter shaft boring machine and series products were rated among the top ten typical cases of patent industrialization; and it successfully developed a full series of shield machine main bearings ranging from 3 meters to 8.61 meters in diameter, forging a Chinese "heart" for the country's major equipment.
