Facing the sea area of the operation zone, a huge pile-driving vessel comes into view, with the H450MF double-acting hydraulic pile hammer suspended in mid-air, exceptionally eye-catching. As a high-performance double-acting hydraulic pile hammer independently developed and manufactured by Shangong Machinery, the H450MF excels in pile foundation construction for deep-water port terminals, building bridges, and cross-sea bridge projects, making it truly a well-rounded "hexagonal warrior."

Recently, as the Hangong Pile 801 vessel drove the first steel pipe pile to the design elevation, the wharf project of the Shanghai LNG battlefront expansion project officially commenced. This wharf construction project will build a 150,000-ton dedicated berth, with a designed throughput of 6 million tons/year, expected to accommodate LNG carriers of 150,000 to 180,000 cubic meters. The project is of great significance. The wharf project adopts a butterfly layout, consisting of a working platform, main approach bridge, flare platform, and 6 berthing dolphins and 6 mooring dolphins, with a total construction period of 596 days.

According to staff from the Yangshan Port Maritime Safety Administration, the construction site is located in the shallow water area between the already-operating LNG terminal and the petroleum storage and transportation terminal on both sides. The construction water area is narrow and close to the main navigation channel of Yangshan Deep-Water Port, which has a complex navigation environment. The project also involves pile-driving vessels, crane vessels, and material transport vessels with varying routes and long voyages, making construction difficult and safety risks high.

Facing difficulties such as complex and dense pile foundations, poor hydrological conditions in the construction sea area, and a tight construction schedule, the construction project team selected the domestically ** fully slewing multi-functional pile-driving vessel Hangong Pile 801, working in sync with the Shangong Machinery H450MF double-acting hydraulic pile hammer to facilitate the smooth progress of the project's pile foundation work.

The Shangong Machinery H450MF double-acting hydraulic pile hammer drives piles in seabed areas where the stratum reaches the strongly weathered surface. The project requires high hammering energy, and the pile driving involves 9 rock-socketed piles with a pile depth of 46 meters, and the driving difficulty is high, which places higher demands on the construction of the Shangong Machinery H450MF double-acting hydraulic pile hammer.
During construction, the project drove a total of more than 300 steel pipe piles, with pile diameters of 1~1.5m and pile depths of 46~67m. The H450MF double-acting hydraulic pile hammer averaged about 800-900 blows per pile set, ensuring 7-8 piles driven per day.

▲Project operation site
At the construction site, the Shangong Machinery H450MF double-acting hydraulic pile hammer won frequent thumbs-up from the owner thanks to its construction advantages: high hammering force, high impact energy density, and large pile penetration; steplessly adjustable hammering energy, with stable impact energy and working frequency; robust and reliable hammer body structure, good system reliability, and minimal impact on the surrounding environment; compared with traditional diesel hammers, no pollution, more environmentally friendly, and more energy-saving; flexible equipment configuration, wide application range, and strong adjustment and control capability.
The project has been included in the 14th Five-Year Plan for Energy Development of Shanghai Municipality and the 14th Five-Year Plan for Energy Development of Zhejiang Province. Once completed, it will further enhance the safety and reliability of natural gas supply in Shanghai, guarantee residents' daily lives, and support the daily operation of the industrial system. In the future, this "sea-calming artifact" will continue to gallop across the five lakes and four seas, contributing Shangong's strength to pile foundation construction in lakes and seas.
HMF Series
Double-Acting Hydraulic Pile Hammer Product Introduction
The HMF series double-acting hydraulic pile hammer is a hydraulic hammer with a simple structural form that uses hydraulic energy to lift the hammer core and then relies on gravitational potential energy to hammer the pile end into the pile. It has a compact structure and a wide application range, adapts to the construction of various pile types, and is widely used in pile foundation construction for buildings, bridges, wharves, and more.
Technical advantages:
● Double-acting hydraulic hammer, especially suitable for inclined pile construction;
● High impact energy density;
● High hammering force during construction and large pile penetration;
● Adopts a hammer core elevation measurement and control scheme, with steplessly adjustable hammering energy and stable impact energy and working frequency;
● Convenient operation; the high-configuration version can display construction data in real time and store it in a database;
● The hydraulic power station works efficiently and reliably, with high volumetric efficiency and low heat generation, and can work continuously for long periods;
● The hydraulic hammer adopts a modular design, with a robust and reliable structure, and is easy to maintain;
● The hydraulic hammer has standard interfaces, facilitating quick replacement of pile caps and driving caps and quick switching between construction of different specifications of pile types;
