Recently, at the Dawu-Daxin section of the "four-to-eight" expansion of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, workers are laying netting on the roadside slopes, carrying out hanging-net hydroseeding of grass along the slopes, and reusing the soil.
　　The Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway is one of the major arteries running north-south through China and sustaining the domestic economic cycle. The Dawu section of the project is 49.98 kilometers long, divided into two contract sections, with a total investment of about 6 billion yuan. The project involves 25 villages in 7 townships (districts): Sanlicheng, Daxin, Dongxin, the Development Zone, Chengguan, Yangping, and Fangfan.
　　"The Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway reconstruction and expansion project is a good deed that benefits future generations, and I will strongly support and cooperate with it," said Yan Xiangsheng, a 72-year-old villager from Hongshan Village, Sanlicheng Town, who took the initiative to cooperate with the project construction and completed the demolition of his own house. The Sanlicheng Town section of the project involves 4 villages along the route and is 11 kilometers long. Sanlicheng Town set up a dedicated task force and completed the land acquisition of 257 mu, the demolition of 10 houses, and the relocation of 111 graves ahead of schedule, laying a solid foundation for the smooth construction of the project.
　　Dawu County has worked closely with and proactively served the project construction, completing tasks such as land acquisition and demolition ahead of schedule, and setting up a coordination leading group to promptly resolve conflicts and disputes during construction, creating a favorable construction environment for the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway reconstruction and expansion project.
　　How can traffic flow be maintained during project construction? The construction contractor has adopted measures such as optimizing the construction plan, diverting and channeling traffic, installing lighting equipment, and increasing patrols to ensure safe and smooth road traffic and make every effort to ensure the project is completed as early as possible.
　　At the project's precast beam yard in the Yangping Industrial Park, each beam is affixed with a QR code before leaving the yard, enabling full-process digital control. Peng Lei, the project construction manager, introduced that the smart construction site management platform is being promoted and used, and through the construction and operation of fully enclosed green mixing stations, smart beam yard production lines, and intelligent welding robots, a safe construction site is being created and standardized construction achieved.
　　Sun Dongpo, construction manager of the project's second contract section, introduced that this year is a critical year for the project's construction. The Dawu section is striving for excellence and "daring to act and acting quickly," and project construction has achieved "accelerated speed," laying a solid foundation for the project to be completed by the end of the year.
