Guangdong Provincial Communications Group Co., Ltd. announced on the 16th that the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link passed its completion acceptance inspection that day, marking that this ***cross-sea cluster project, which underwent 7 years of preliminary preparation and 7 years of arduous construction, has completed all construction tasks, and its engineering quality has passed the "major test"; it will draw the key "horizontal stroke" of the A-shaped transportation network framework of the Pearl River Estuary's "Golden Inner Bay".

　　The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is about 30 kilometers north of the Humen Bridge and about 31 kilometers south of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. It starts from the Shenzhen Airport Interchange, crosses the Lingdingyang sea area westward, connects with the Nanzhong Expressway via the Wanqingsha Interchange, lands on Ma'an Island in Zhongshan City, and connects with the Zhongkai Expressway. The project integrates "bridge—island—tunnel—underwater interchange" into one, with a total length of about 24 kilometers, and is one of the cross-sea cluster projects with extremely high comprehensive construction difficulty in the world today.

　　From June 15 to 16, the completion acceptance meeting for the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link was held in Shenzhen. As an extremely important task before the project opens to traffic, more than 150 representatives from a total of 80 units, including the Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Transport, the Cost Affairs Center, and the Transportation Government Services and Emergency Command Center, attended the meeting. They went to the East Artificial Island, the buried tunnel section, the immersed tube tunnel, the West Artificial Island, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, and the Zhongshan Bridge to inspect the project site on the spot and learn about and grasp the physical appearance quality of civil engineering works and traffic safety and electromechanical facilities.

　　On the morning of the 16th, the completion acceptance meeting for the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link was held. The completion acceptance committee listened to reports from representatives of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link Management Center and various participating construction units, reviewed the project construction materials, and conducted extensive and in-depth discussions. It held that the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link has a complete engineering quality assurance system, complies with design and technical specification requirements, has strict process control, and has qualified engineering quality, and agreed to pass the completion acceptance.

　　"The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link passing the completion acceptance not only marks that the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link's high-quality completion, excellent inside and beautiful outside, has been recognized, but also marks that our technical capability to build ***cross-sea cluster projects has achieved another leap. The new quality productive forces formed by the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link can be applied to the construction of other cross-sea links in the future," said Song Shenyou, director and chief engineer of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link Management Center, at the site.

　　It is understood that the building construction works of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link completed their completion (final) acceptance on the 15th. After the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link passes the completion acceptance, it still needs to be verified and filed by the competent industry department before it can officially meet the conditions for opening to traffic.
