According to the doctoral student training work deployment of the China Academy of Building Research, on June 7, 2024, Beijing Institute of Construction Mechanization Co., Ltd. held a doctoral dissertation defense in geotechnical engineering for Zheng Wenhua. The title of Dr. Zheng Wenhua's dissertation defense was "Whole-Process Analysis and Ductility Performance Study of Underground Prestressed Concrete Structures under Civil Air Defense Loads," and his supervisors were Research Fellow Gong Jianfei and Professor-level Senior Engineer Liu Mingbao.

The chairman of the defense committee was Professor Zhang Hongru of Beijing Jiaotong University. The committee members were Master of Survey and Design Wang Weidong of East China Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., Professor Zhao Wen of Northeastern University, Professor Tao Lianjin of Beijing University of Technology, Professor Zhou Tonghe of Zhengzhou University, Professor Wang Xinmin of Shijiazhuang Tiedao University, and Research Fellows Huang Shimin and Gao Wensheng of the China Academy of Building Research.

At the defense, Zheng Wenhua reported on the research background, research methods, research content, and innovative points of the dissertation. The defense committee experts questioned, discussed, and commented on the dissertation work in turn, affirmed Zheng Wenhua's academic achievements during his doctoral studies, and offered opinions and suggestions for the next stage of work. Based on a comprehensive evaluation combining the dissertation reviewers' comments and the defense performance, the defense committee unanimously approved a resolution to confer the degree of Doctor of Engineering on Zheng Wenhua.

After the defense, Gong Jianfei first expressed sincere gratitude to all the experts for their long-standing strong support for the Institute's discipline development and doctoral student training and for attending the defense, and warmly congratulated Zheng Wenhua on successfully passing the doctoral dissertation defense, wishing him even greater achievements in his future work.

At present, the graduate students managed by Beijing Institute of Construction Mechanization include a total of 9 academic and professional master's and doctoral students: those independently enrolled by the China Academy of Building Research, those in the Outstanding Engineer Program jointly cultivated by the China Academy of Building Research and Harbin Institute of Technology, and those cultivated through the Institute's joint graduate training bases with universities such as Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology and Shenyang Jianzhu University, including 2 doctoral students. In recent years, Beijing Institute of Construction Mechanization's exploratory work in high-level, multi-channel talent cultivation has achieved phased results. These efforts have laid a solid foundation for further improving graduate training quality, refining graduate training processes, building a sound graduate training system, expanding enterprise talent cultivation channels, and fostering a sustainable talent team for the enterprise.
