It is reported that Xichong County plans to implement 119 key construction projects this year, and has consistently enforced various assessment systems such as monthly scheduling, quarterly reporting, and year-end evaluation, pressing down responsibilities for project construction at every level and setting off a wave of project攻坚. This has achieved rapid progress in project construction; in the first five months of this year, the 119 major projects completed investment of 7.24 billion yuan, a completion rate of 53.3%.

Recently, walking into the pharmaceutical workshop of Taiji Group Sichuan Nanchong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., one saw machines and equipment running rapidly, with various medicines undergoing processes such as extraction, separation, dilution, solvent treatment, granulation, and packaging before finally becoming products completely consistent in specification, dosage, and active ingredients. "The supply of water, electricity, and gas needed for production is fully guaranteed. The company is organizing workers to work overtime to meet orders and produce at full capacity," said a person in charge at Taiji Group Sichuan Nanchong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. In 2023, the company achieved an output value of 230 million yuan. Because production factors are guaranteed, the company has raised its target output value this year, planning a 10% increase to 250 million yuan. To achieve the goal, the company has broken down the tasks month by month and quarter by quarter.
Taiji Group Sichuan Nanchong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Taiji Group, with 10 production lines across six dosage forms: granules, syrups, mixtures, tablets, tinctures, and medicinal liquors. "For pharmaceutical enterprises, water, electricity, and gas are extremely critical production factors. Relevant departments in Xichong County have been coordinating with electricity, gas, water, and other departments, and have formulated supply guarantee plans to ensure enterprises can accelerate production," said a person in charge at the Xichong County Commerce and Economic Information Bureau.
In Xichong County, enterprises are running at full capacity in production, and key projects are also racing against time to make progress. Recently, at the construction site of the Jinfeng Avenue construction project in Xichong County, earthwork excavation and backfilling have been fully completed, and the project has entered the road surface construction stage. "After going all out to rush the schedule, 70% of the total engineering volume has been completed," said the person in charge of the construction contractor for the Jinfeng Avenue project. To complete the Jinfeng Avenue construction task on schedule, the contractor mobilizes nearly 100 machines and vehicles every day to speed up construction, striving to meet traffic-opening conditions this month.
The Jinfeng Avenue project is a planned urban secondary trunk road in the Xichong area of Nanchong Linjiang New Area, located in Duofu Town, with a total investment of about 211 million yuan. Its starting point intersects with G212, crosses over the G75 Lanhai Expressway, and its endpoint intersects with Gaoxin Avenue. The main line has six lanes in both directions, and the branch line has four lanes in both directions.
"Jinfeng Avenue is a connecting line for industrial transport and external roads in the Xichong area of Nanchong Linjiang New Area, and is a key road linking the new area with National Highway 212 and Gaoxin Avenue," said the person in charge of the project owner for the Jinfeng Avenue construction project. After the road is completed, it will comprehensively improve the infrastructure level of the new area and promote its high-quality development.
Pressing down work responsibilities to serve major project construction
According to arrangements, Xichong County plans to implement 119 key projects in 2024, with an annual investment of 13.588 billion yuan, including 33 provincial and municipal key projects. To do a good job in project construction, Xichong County has made real efforts in setting goals, project guarantees, and project supervision. By actively assisting enterprises in obtaining bank financing, coordinating government reward and subsidy funds, and implementing various assessment systems such as monthly scheduling, quarterly reporting, and year-end evaluation, it has pressed down project construction responsibilities at every level and achieved accelerated progress in project construction.
Statistics show that in the first five months of this year, the 119 major projects in Xichong County completed investment of 7.24 billion yuan, a completion rate of 53.3%. Among them, 33 provincial and municipal key projects completed investment of 5.48 billion yuan, a completion rate of 60.8%; 4 provincial key projects completed investment of 1.22 billion yuan, a completion rate of 59.2%.
"In accordance with the decision-making arrangements of the municipal Party committee, we will contribute Xichong's strength to accelerating the 'construction of five areas,' vigorously implementing the 'five-city strategy,' and solidly carrying out the 'eight major actions,'" said a person in charge in Xichong County. He said that serving major project construction will be taken as the main focus of economic work, and the county will resolutely achieve comprehensive coordination in scheduling, strengthened factor guarantees, and wall-chart operations to drive progress, concentrate resources on projects and industrial strengthening, and strive for a second-quarter sprint to ensure achievement of more than half of the targets.
