The book "Excerpts of Xi Jinping's Discourses on National Energy Security," edited by the Institute of Party History and Literature of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, has recently been published by the Central Party Literature Press and is being distributed nationwide.

Energy security bears on the overall situation of economic and social development. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, proceeding from the strategic height of national development and security, has found a path that conforms to the general trend of energy, put forward a new strategy for energy security, and promoted the revolution in energy consumption, energy supply, energy technology, and the energy system, strengthening international cooperation in all respects. The building of China's new energy system has been accelerated, the foundation for energy security has been continuously consolidated, providing strong support for economic and social development and contributing Chinese wisdom and Chinese strength to world energy security and the transformation of energy development. The series of important discourses delivered by Comrade Xi Jinping on national energy security are far-sighted in conception, rich in content, and profound in thought, and are of great significance for coordinating the development of new energy and national energy security on the new journey of the new era, deeply advancing the energy revolution, accelerating the building of an energy power, and providing safe and reliable energy security for the advancement of Chinese modernization.

The "Excerpts of Discourses" is divided into 8 thematic sections, totaling 217 passages of discourse, excerpted from more than 130 important documents including Comrade Xi Jinping's reports, speeches, addresses, talks, congratulatory letters, reply letters, instructions, and written comments between November 2012 and May 2024. Some of these discourses are published publicly for the first time.
