Recently, the continuous girder spanning the North Ramp of Huaxia East Road and the continuous girder spanning Xiyang Highway of the Chuansha Grand Bridge in Section VI (pre-station) of the Taicang–Situan segment of the Shanghai–Nantong Railway, constructed by China Construction Eighth Engineering Division, were successfully closed.

The continuous girder of the Chuansha Grand Bridge spanning Xiyang Highway is located in Heqing Town, Pudong New Area, with a girder length of 113.1 meters and a total of 31 segments. The continuous girder spanning the North Ramp of Huaxia East Road is also located in Heqing Town and is the ** continuous girder to be closed among the three consecutive spans in the Huaxia East Road elevated section; the bridge deck is 12.1 meters wide, the total girder length is 137.2 meters, and the cantilever casting method is adopted for construction.

The Section VI (pre-station) of the Taicang–Situan segment of the Shanghai–Nantong Railway has a total route length of 27.905 kilometers and runs basically parallel to the G1503 Shanghai Ring Expressway. It starts from the Gaodong Ecological Park in Gaodong Town and successively crosses the G40 Shanghai–Shaanxi Expressway, the Longdong Avenue interchange ramp, the S1 Yingbin Avenue interchange ramp, and the airport maglev line, ending at Shanghai East Station on the west side of Pudong Airport. The main works include the Zhaojiaqou Grand Bridge (6.274 kilometers), the Chuansha Grand Bridge (18.209 kilometers), as well as section subgrade and station yard subgrade, etc. The main construction contents include subgrade filling, bridge substructure, precasting and erection of simply supported box girders, cast-in-place construction of non-standard simply supported girders and continuous girders, frame bridges and culverts, and ancillary works of subgrade and bridges. At present, about 85.4% of the pile foundations, about 78.14% of the substructure, about 14% of the box girder precasting, and about 11.52% of the subgrade filling in this section have been completed. The project is currently in the continuous girder construction stage, and the erection of the ** span precast girders is about to begin.
