On June 2, the last reinforcement cage for the diaphragm wall of the open-cut section at the entrance of the Xilang Tunnel on the Guangnan Connecting Line, constructed by Qiancheng Pile Engineering, was safely lifted and lowered into the trench, marking the successful completion of the diaphragm wall retaining structure for the project. A brief yet grand completion ceremony was held on site. Fan Qiulin, Project Manager of the Xilang Tunnel entrance open-cut section project of the Guangnan Connecting Line under China Railway 18th Bureau Group; Chen Xiaozhong, Executive Deputy Manager; Chen Ming, Party Secretary; Ma Shuai, Safety Director; and other members of the project leadership team; Li Chunqiang, Work Area Manager; Shen Mingtao, Work Area Party Secretary; and other members of the work area leadership team; as well as Li Dengfeng, Executive General Manager of Qiancheng Pile Engineering; Wei Dong, Project Manager; and all project participants jointly witnessed this important moment.

The Xilang Tunnel is a key controlling project of the Guangnan Connecting Line, with a total length of 13.21 kilometers, constructed in sections using the open-cut method, mining method, and shield method. The retaining structure of the open-cut section at the tunnel entrance uses a total of 126 diaphragm wall panels, including 100 straight ("I"-shaped) panels, 14 "L"-shaped panels, and 12 "V"-shaped panels, with a maximum embedment depth of 34.4 meters, a standard panel width of 6 meters, and a rock-socketed depth of 3 m to 16.39 m.

Since the successful lifting of the first reinforcement cage for the diaphragm wall on March 29, 2024, in order to complete the diaphragm wall construction task to high standards and strict requirements, under the client's advance planning and meticulous deployment, the scientific guidance of the supervision unit, the strong support of the company, and the strict execution and diligent efforts of the project management personnel, the construction plan was continuously optimized, investment was increased, time was seized, and progress was pursued. After 66 days and nights of arduous effort, the diaphragm wall construction of the open-cut section at the entrance of the Xilang Tunnel was finally completed successfully.
