Beijing, June 6 (Xinhua) — In order to effectively promote the rectification of problems, the Central Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection Teams on the 6th released a batch of typical cases in a concentrated manner.

　　The inspection teams found during inspections in Hubei Province that in some areas, the planning and coordination of construction waste disposal facilities is insufficient, supervision and management are not strict, and arbitrary piling and dumping are frequent. During the inspection period, the random dumping of construction waste became a hot spot for petition reports, and public feedback was very strong. In Zhangjiajie City and Yongzhou City of Hunan Province, construction waste management is extensive and crude, disposal capacity construction lags behind, large amounts of construction waste are mixed, piled and dumped arbitrarily, and ecological damage and environmental pollution problems are prominent. In some places in Chongqing Municipality, the construction of construction waste treatment facilities lags behind, resource utilization is not effectively promoted, and illegal dumping problems are prominent. In some cities and prefectures in Yunnan Province, construction waste control is ineffective.

　　The inspections found that in recent years, Shanghai Municipality has generated large amounts of construction waste, with the output of engineering spoil and mud maintained at more than 100 million tons year-round. Relevant departments of Shanghai Municipality and some local disposal sites have insufficient planning and layout and inadequate treatment capacity, and the problem of construction waste disposal has become increasingly prominent. In Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, the construction of construction waste disposal capacity lags behind, supervision is ineffective, and illegal dumping problems are frequent. In some places in Jiangxi Province, the arbitrary piling and dumping of construction waste and other solid waste is widespread, illegal disposal problems are prominent, and serious environmental risks and hidden dangers exist.
