On June 4, the first phase of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 24 achieved new progress. As concrete was poured into the mold, the project's track slabs officially went into production.

The first phase of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 24 is a demonstration project for key green and intelligent integration technologies in Chongqing's urban rail system, and is also Chongqing's first fully automated rail transit line and the first to adopt a cloud-based IoT integration platform.

It is understood that track slabs are a key component of rail transit, mainly used to support and secure the rails. The official start of track slab production is an important milestone in rail transit construction and will provide support for subsequent track laying and train operations.

That day, at the production base in Beibei District, Chongqing, reporters saw workers operating automated and intelligent equipment to pour concrete into molds and cast track slabs, which then underwent processes such as resting and steam curing before production was finally completed.

Zhang Ji, chairman of China Railway Construction Chongqing Construction Technology Co., Ltd., the track slab producer and a participating unit in the first phase of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 24, told reporters that a new intelligent production line was adopted in the track slab production process, with efficiency more than twice that of traditional processes, higher precision control, and greater green, low-carbon and environmental performance.

The first phase of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 24 connects multiple important areas and functional nodes in Chongqing, and is of great significance for optimizing the urban transportation structure, promoting regional economic development, alleviating traffic congestion, and improving citizens' travel efficiency.
