On June 3, after 603 days of intensive construction, the Dahuangtian Tunnel of the Quzhou-Lishui Railway was successfully holed through. At this point, 13 of the 26 tunnels on the entire first-phase Quzhou-Lishui Railway project have been holed through, with progress exceeding halfway.

The Dahuangtian Tunnel is located within Songyang County, Zhejiang Province, with a total length of 1,415.18 m. It is designed as a single-tube, double-track tunnel with a maximum burial depth of approximately 144 m. The geological conditions inside the tunnel are relatively complex, and construction faces many challenges such as developed fissures, fractured rock masses, and poor surrounding rock stability. In addition, the tunnel passes over the Shikou Tunnel of the Xianqing Highway, with a minimum distance of only 4.49 m; the exit section is immediately adjacent to an existing water channel, and the tunnel crown is about 0.4 m from the bottom of the channel, resulting in significant external interference.

Next, the Quzhou-Lishui Railway Construction Command will continue to overcome difficulties, go all out to strive for a "good first half" and a "good full year," accelerate the construction progress of the remaining works, promote high-quality construction of the Quzhou-Lishui Railway, open up a convenient channel for exchanges between southwestern Zhejiang and central China, and jointly build a "road to common prosperity" for the 26 mountainous counties.
