On May 30, with the successful blasting of the last tunnel point, the Fengjiapuzi Tunnel in the No. 6 work zone of the Benxi-Huanren Expressway project, invested and constructed by China Railway (Liaoning) Benhuan Expressway Co., Ltd. and undertaken by China Railway No. 2 Engineering Group, was successfully completed with both tubes holed through.

The Fengjiapuzi Tunnel runs roughly in a southwest-to-northeast direction and is the tunnel with the shallowest cover along the entire line, with a minimum cover depth of only 2.2 meters; a village road passes above it, posing high safety risks and a high probability of collapse and roof fall. At the same time, its close proximity to a village not only introduces various additional safety hazards but also frequently obstructs the supply of on-site materials and mechanical equipment, making it difficult to carry out construction normally.

To ensure the smooth holing-through of the tunnel, the construction party continuously adjusted and optimized the construction plan and construction methods during the construction process, following the principle of "pre-support, fast excavation, fast support, fast sealing," adopting smooth blasting during excavation, carrying out technical reinforcement treatment on the shallow-cover section, and taking measures such as "short advance, multiple cycles, densified support," with all processes closely coordinated and construction quality meeting standards, thereby ensuring the safe and smooth holing-through of the tunnel.
