According to the Quanzhou Municipal Forestry Bureau, the forest fire prevention emergency road construction project in Quanzhou—a project funded by additional government bonds—has recently commenced. This is another major forestry project to break ground in Quanzhou, following the central government-funded pilot demonstration project for national land greening.
　　The project has a total investment of 570 million yuan and a total length of 913 kilometers, including 789 kilometers of new construction and 124 kilometers of reconstruction. It covers four key forest region counties (cities)—Anxi, Yongchun, Dehua, and Nan'an—and six state-owned forest farms under their jurisdiction: Anxi Fengtian, Anxi Banlin, Yongchun Biqing, Dehua Gekeng, Nan'an Wutaishan, and Nan'an Luoshan. Once completed, the project will greatly enhance forest fire emergency response capacity in forest regions, comprehensively improve fire prevention infrastructure conditions, and better protect forest resources and biodiversity.
　　Since the beginning of this year, the municipal forestry, development and reform, finance, and transportation departments have treated the bond-funded project construction as an important political task, strengthened overall coordination and information sharing, and strictly implemented project management systems in accordance with bond project management measures—including the project legal person responsibility system, bidding and tendering system, engineering construction supervision system, contract management system, and project completion acceptance—while planning the "timetable" and "roadmap" for the bond-funded project construction, achieving the first commencement among similar projects in the province. Next, the project units will accelerate construction progress and truly build the fire prevention road project into a project that wins public support, delivers high quality, and upholds integrity.
