June 5 (Reported) According to the website of Taishan Safety Network, at around 17:00 on June 1, 2024, after a water inrush accident occurred at the Huafeng Coal Mine of the Xinwen Mining Group under Shandong Energy, the on-site rescue command headquarters at the provincial, municipal, and county levels organized rescue forces to go all out and race against time to search for and rescue the trapped personnel. After 72 hours of unremitting efforts, 4 people were found at around 17:00 on June 4. Afterwards, 1 person was found at around 19:00, 1 at around 20:00, and 1 at around 20:40 respectively. Medical personnel provided on-site treatment underground, and rescue workers promptly carried out underground transfer and lifting operations; all trapped personnel were immediately sent to the hospital after being lifted to the surface. The provincial and municipal authorities organized medical personnel to make every effort to provide treatment. At present, 5 people are in stable condition; the other 2 have been medically confirmed to have no vital signs.
