On June 3, the author learned from the Municipal Transport Bureau that recently, with the completion of the final concrete pour, the right span of the Leishui Grand Bridge, a controlling project of the Chachang Expressway, was successfully closed, marking another big step toward the goal of opening the project to traffic.

The Leishui Grand Bridge, with a total length of 1,147 meters and 32 spans, is one of the key and difficult projects in the construction of the Chachang Expressway. To ensure the smooth closure of the continuous girder, the Chachang Company organized several expert review meetings in the early stage and conducted detailed technical briefings. In response to the recent hot weather, the project department scheduled concrete pouring for the time period with the lowest temperature and smallest temperature difference in the early morning, while using ice blocks and blowers to cool the girder body, ensuring that all construction control indicators met the design requirements.

During the construction process, the Chachang Company, together with the J3 Resident Office of the Chachang Expressway and the Project Departments of Contracts 9-10, deployed work in strict accordance with the special construction plan, organized construction reasonably, and assigned dedicated personnel to carry out detailed inspection and acceptance of each process, including formwork installation for the closure segment, rebar tying, locking of the rigid frame, and counterweighting of the closure segment, thereby strengthening on-site safety and technical support and strictly controlling every detail.

Next, the Chachang Company will make every effort to advance subsequent works such as pavement, traffic safety facilities, building construction, and mechanical and electrical engineering, accelerate the completion of the remaining subgrade works, optimize resource allocation, and closely monitor key links to ensure that the Chachang Expressway is completed and opened to traffic safely, with high quality, and on schedule.
