On June 4, according to the website of the National Meteorological Center, yesterday, heavy to torrential rain occurred in Guangxi, Guangdong and other places, with localized extremely heavy rain. It is expected that over the next three days, rainfall in Guangxi, Guangdong and other places will continue. Attention should be paid to secondary disasters such as flash floods, geological disasters, and urban and rural waterlogging that may be triggered by localized intense rainfall and sustained rainfall; in particular, Guangxi needs to watch for the disaster risk caused by overlapping rainfall. North China, Northeast China and other regions should watch for the impact of localized severe convective weather on transportation, urban operations, and other aspects.

Guangxi, Guangdong and other places will still have relatively strong rainfall

From June 4 to 5, moderate to heavy rain will occur in central and eastern Yunnan, southern Jiangnan, most of South China and other places, among which parts of central and eastern Guangxi, western Guangdong and other places will have torrential rain, with localized extremely heavy rain. From the 7th to the 10th, the rain belt will gradually lift northward, and moderate to heavy rain will still occur in Guizhou, central and northern South China, most of Jiangnan, with localized torrential or extremely heavy rain.

It is expected that from 08:00 on June 4 to 08:00 on June 5, parts of southeastern Yunnan, eastern and southern Guangxi, western Guangdong and other places will have heavy to torrential rain, among which parts of southeastern Guangxi, the coastal areas of southwestern Guangdong and other places will have extremely heavy rain (100–180 mm). Some of the above areas will be accompanied by short-duration intense precipitation (maximum hourly rainfall of 30–50 mm, with localized areas exceeding 80 mm), and localized severe convective weather such as thunderstorms and gales. The National Meteorological Center continued to issue a yellow warning for torrential rain at 06:00 on June 4.
