On May 30, at the construction site of the Huangzuitou ferry-to-bridge conversion project in Tiefo Town, Tongjiang County, Sichuan Province, the safe completion of erecting the last precast concrete T-beam marked the official completion of the main structure of the Huangzuitou ferry-to-bridge conversion project, laying a solid foundation for the project to meet the conditions for opening to traffic by the end of June.

　　The ferry-to-bridge conversion project is a subsidized project of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transport. Huangzuitou ferry crossing was the last vehicle ferry terminal in Tongjiang County. The bridge has a total length of 847 meters and a width of 12 meters, with a total investment of 60.17 million yuan. It is built to Class III highway technical standards, with a design speed of 30 km/h.

　　"This is not only a bridge that benefits the people by facilitating travel for more than 10,000 residents on both banks, but also an industrial road that drives development on both sides," said Zhang Xing, director of the Tongjiang County Navigation and Maritime Development Center. Upon completion, the project will directly facilitate travel for 10,000 residents of Baituya Village and Hexi Village on both banks of the ferry crossing, allowing them to completely bid farewell to the traditional ferry transport mode; at the same time, it will open another passage from Tiefo to Sanxi and Guangna, serving as an important node of the high-quality grain and oil plus Qingyu pig industry road in the Tiefo and Guangna area, and providing sound transport support for local economic and social development and for farmers to prosper and become well-off.
