At 10:18 a.m. on May 28, the left-line shield of the section from Humen Guangming Road Station to Binhai Bay Station of Civil Construction Bid 2332 of Phase III of Dongguan Urban Rail Transit Line 2 was launched, marking the transition from station construction to section construction and a solid step toward "tunnel breakthrough."

The left line of this shield launching section (Humen Guangming Road Station to Binhai Bay Station section) has a total length of 2,755.489 meters. The shield passes alongside a 500KV high-voltage transmission tower, buildings, and the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Yanjiang Expressway, and passes beneath the Delong Weiyong waterway and the Qingba check gate, among other structures. Controlling settlement and controlling deformation are the key points of safety management and control for this project.
