On June 3, according to the website of the National Meteorological Center, meteorological monitoring shows that over the past day, as the low-pressure system affecting South China moved eastward into the sea, the rainfall range in Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang and other places shrank noticeably and the rain intensity weakened, with severe rainfall distributed in a rather scattered pattern; localized torrential rain occurred in Baise, Hechi, Laibin, Guigang and Yulin in Guangxi, Maoming, Jiangmen and Guangzhou in Guangdong, Qianxinan in Guizhou, and Honghe in Yunnan.
The National Meteorological Center continued to issue a blue rainstorm warning on the morning of the 3rd: it is expected that over the next three days, the Guangdong-Guangxi region will once again become a concentrated area of rainstorms, with torrential rain and localized severe torrential rain in parts of central and eastern Guangxi, western and northern Guangdong, southern Hunan and southern Jiangxi, and moderate to heavy rain in Fujian and central and eastern Yunnan. In particular, from daytime to nighttime today, there will be heavy to torrential rain in parts of Guangxi, central and western Guangdong and southern Hunan, with severe torrential rain (100–180 mm) in parts of central Guangxi; some of the above areas will be accompanied by short-duration intense precipitation (maximum hourly rainfall of 20–50 mm, with localized amounts exceeding 70 mm) and localized severe convective weather such as thunderstorms and gales.

Meteorological experts said that the concentrated period of this round of heavy rainfall in the south will be today and tomorrow; in parts of Guangxi and Guangdong, the rainfall will last a long time and accumulate to large totals, and the risk of flash floods and geological disasters in some localities is relatively high. The public should continue to take disaster prevention measures, try to avoid going to dangerous areas such as mountainous areas, river channels and hillsides, and stay away from low-lying areas and areas of unknown standing water; when driving in rainy weather, people should learn about local weather and road conditions in advance and drive cautiously and slowly. It is expected that after the 7th, the main rain belt will shift northward to northern South China, the Jiangnan region and other places.
In addition, rain will also appear frequently in northern China this week. From daytime to nighttime on the 3rd, there will be light to moderate rain in eastern Northwest China, northern Xinjiang and Heilongjiang; from the 4th to the 7th, there will be light rain or showers in northern North China and most of Northeast China, with moderate rain and localized heavy rain in central and eastern Inner Mongolia and parts of Northeast China. The public in the above areas is advised to carry rain gear when going out and to guard against the adverse effects of severe convective weather such as lightning and short-duration strong winds.
