Since the beginning of this year, Hunchun has continued to adhere to the concept of "projects as the king," launching a citywide upsurge of tackling tough tasks under the slogan of "vigorously pursuing projects and vigorously advancing projects." Guided by high-quality development, it has further optimized project layout, strengthened factor guarantees, and concentrated its efforts on promoting key projects to land early, start early, and go into production early, effectively using high-quality project construction to drive high-quality economic development. In 2024, Hunchun plans a total investment of 10.1 billion yuan to build 42 key projects. At the construction site of the Hunchun Railway International Logistics Park project, machinery and equipment rumble, construction workers are full of energy, and everywhere surges a construction boom of working hard and striving to be first.

The Railway International Logistics Park project is an important carrier for Hunchun to implement the decisions and arrangements of the province and prefecture and to accelerate the building of a land border port-type national logistics hub. The project covers an area of about 41 hectares, with a building area of about 250,000 square meters and a planned investment of about 1.2 billion yuan. It mainly builds facilities such as warehousing for timber imported from Russia, warehousing for cold-chain seafood imported from Russia, warehousing for grain and light industrial products exported to Russia, and processing plants for products from international mutual trade that are landed locally. After the project is completed, relying on the Hunchun railway port, it will carry out bulk commodity cargo transportation and distribution, striving to create a new "fortress" for China-Russia bilateral trade cooperation.

"Up to now, apart from some ancillary facilities, the main structure of the project has been enclosed, and work such as masonry and decoration is underway," introduced project manager Zhong Sheng. He said they will design and construct strictly in accordance with standards and specifications, race against time to seize the construction period, work overtime to catch up on progress, and make every effort to ensure the project is delivered and put into use smoothly.

The Northeast Asia Fresh Seafood Park project in the Hunchun Marine Economy Demonstration Zone, with a total investment of 660 million yuan, is one of the key projects promoted by Hunchun. It has a building area of about 107,000 square meters and mainly builds facilities such as a comprehensive building, a temporary holding center, cold storage, multi-functional processing plants, a materials building, and a sewage station, making every effort to create a fresh seafood distribution base integrating processing, distribution, sales, production, and import and export functions. It will play a positive role in promoting Hunchun's effort to make seafood processing and trade bigger and stronger, create regional brands, open up the domestic market, enhance product added value, and help the traditional fresh food industry transform and upgrade.

Walking into the construction site of the Northeast Asia Fresh Seafood Park project in the Hunchun Marine Economy Demonstration Zone, one can see various engineering vehicles working in coordination and accelerating ground hardening construction of more than 10,000 square meters. Outside the temporary holding center, several workers are carrying out waterproofing work, while at the same time removing the perimeter protection around the building and preparing for window installation.

"We are among the earliest batch of projects to start construction in Hunchun this year. We are now carrying out exterior wall decoration for Buildings 1 and 2; main structure construction for Buildings 4, 8, and 9; most of the exterior wall decoration for Building 3 has been completed and is ready for spraying; Buildings 5, 6, and 7 are undergoing door and window installation and indoor pipeline installation, and exterior wall insulation has been completed," introduced Li Jiangyao, the person in charge of project construction. He said that most buildings have now entered the stage of decoration and equipment ordering. According to the contract schedule, the project is planned to complete construction and be put into use before September 30.

As an important landmark project for Hunchun's vigorous development of rural tourism and a new landmark for Hunchun cultural tourism, the Hunchun Silk Road Bohai Ancient Town tourism infrastructure project, with a planned total investment of 480 million yuan, is progressing smoothly, and related work is being advanced in an orderly manner.

"The external main structure construction of the project has entered its final stage. At present, interior decoration and external greening landscape layout are underway, and it will be put into use in September," introduced a relevant person in charge of the project. The Hunchun Silk Road Bohai Ancient Town tourism infrastructure project is built in two phases. Phase I has a planned investment of 330 million yuan, a land area of 86,600 square meters, and a building area of 28,000 square meters. It mainly builds a distribution center, service center, Fudutong Yamen Museum, landscape theme plaza, forest ecological area, landscape river channel, landscape corridor bridge, and other facilities. Phase II has a planned investment of 150 million yuan and mainly builds a ski resort and detached homestay area, with an expected annual reception of more than 300,000 tourists.

After the project is completed, it will greatly optimize Hunchun's tourism consumption environment, improve tourism infrastructure, cultivate new tourism consumption hotspots, comprehensively enhance the level of tourism services, and play a positive exemplary role in the rapid development of tourism in the whole city.
