On the evening of the 30th, the awards of the finals of the 2024 "Guangzhou International Textile City Cup" Guangdong University Outstanding Fashion Design Competition were announced. 　　Among them, in the graduate collection shows, students sought inspiration from technological innovation, traditional aesthetics, new creations of intangible cultural heritage, and green fashion, continuously expanding the boundaries of fashion expression. For example, Guangdong Baiyun University, Guangdong Vocational College of Literature and Art, and Guangzhou Engineering Polytechnic broke physical boundaries and launched a journey of new-quality fashion with virtual fashion shows; Guangdong University of Technology explored smart wearable applications, embedding LED light strips and sound sensors into clothing, allowing wearers to interact with the garments through sound, delivering strong visual impact and a sense of technology; Guangdong Polytechnic applied 3D technology to graduation designs, reflecting the integration of fashion education and technology. The School of Fine Arts of Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University incorporated traditional handicrafts such as Cantonese embroidery and Canton enamel into modern fashion design; Guangzhou Engineering Polytechnic presented innovations in traditional Yao ethnic clothing, among others.
