On May 19, the land use for the main line of the Ruili–Menglian Expressway (Dehong Section) was approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources. With this, the entire line of Yunnan's longest expressway under construction has received approval.

The Ruili–Menglian Expressway (abbreviated as "Rui–Meng Expressway"), with a total length of 521.36 kilometers, begins near Jiele Village, Mengmao Town, Ruili City, Yunnan Province, connecting with the Longrui Expressway. It passes through Huyu Village, Huyu Township, Ruili City; Xiangda Town and Mengnuo Town in Longling County, Baoshan City; Longzhen Bridge in Zhenkang County, Lincang City; Mengpeng Town in Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture; Zhenkang County (Nansan), Lincang City; Qingshuihe Village, Mengding Town, Gengma County; Mengding Town, Gengma Dai and Va Autonomous County; Gengma Dai and Va Autonomous County; the Nuoliang area of Cangyuan Va Autonomous County; Xuelin Va Township, Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, Pu'er City; Mujia Township, Lancang County; Zhongke Town, Ximeng Va Autonomous County; and Jingxin Village, Mengding Town, Gengma Dai and Va Autonomous County; and ends near Langlie Village, Menglian County, connecting directly to the starting point of the Menglian–Menghai section of the border expressway. It passes through four prefectures (cities)—Dehong, Baoshan, Lincang, and Pu'er—and is the longest expressway under construction in Yunnan Province.

The construction of the Rui–Meng Expressway not only connects multiple major outbound corridors such as the Tianhou Expressway, Hangrui Expressway, and Linqing Expressway, but also links numerous ports and crossings including Ruili, Wanding, Nansan, Qingshuihe, Yonghe, and Menglian, playing a positive role in strengthening transport links between the areas along the route and surrounding cities and promoting the development of border trade.
