According to a message from the "Beautiful Chuzhou" WeChat public account, the Joint Investigation Team on Water Pollution in the Chuhe River in Anhui Province issued a "Notice on the Progress of Handling Water Pollution in the Chuhe River" on the 29th, stating that recently, due to a fire in the raw material warehouse of Chuzhou Fuxin Petroleum Additives Co., Ltd. in the Quanjiao Economic Development Zone of Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, some polluted water leaked out, causing the deaths of some fish and shrimp in parts of the Chuhe River and arousing widespread public concern.

　　After the incident, Anhui Province and Chuzhou City quickly took measures to handle the situation, blocked the relevant polluted water bodies, closely monitored changes in water quality, and invited experts from within and outside the province to study and formulate remediation plans. At the same time, a joint investigation team was established and stationed in Quanjiao County to carry out a comprehensive investigation. At present, the principal responsible comrades of the Quanjiao County Party Committee have been removed from their posts, and the relevant responsible persons are under investigation.
